I've recently found out that I have to have urgent surgery on my neck. I will be reco for approximately 2 months. I have a 15 month old German shepherd. He was a rescue from Reno. Does anyone know a foster place or board?
Paul at Von Dubinhaus Shepherds boards. Hes great and his dogs are well taken care of. I've left my Shepherd with him for up to two months for board and training. He took good care of him and my dog loves him.

My husband and I have been training with Paul for a few months. Our German Shepherd puppy has some moderate anxiety and OCD issues that we needed some professional help for, and we are so lucky to be working with Paul. In the time we have been training with him, he has helped us get our puppy's anxiety/OCD under control to the point of her sweet personality coming back up to the surface and we are actually able to train her!
He is very responsive for questions in between our training sessions, and very flexible on his availability for training sessions. He has many years of experience and is friendly and easy to work with. My husband and I would highly recommend Paul for training German Shepherds or any other dog breed!!

Paul literally saved my German Shepherd. A year old and having severe problems with anxiety and fear based aggression the talk of rehoming was on the table. He saved my dog. I’ve been training with him almost 6 months and the difference of what my dog was before and now the confidence and fun loving nature spewing out of him is night and day. I highly recommend his board and train services as he knows exactly how to pinpoint triggers for your dog and desensitize them. I can’t thank this man enough and will be able to continue sharing experiences with my dog. Best trainer in the Portland area hands down.

We were able to narrow my dogs issues down and work from there. After just 3 sessions I was given the tools I needed to continue to work with her.
Update: Zima is now 4 and hasn't had an aggressive issues in 2 years. She loves people and is able to play and meet other dogs with no issues. I take her to dog parks and she loves just meeting new people and dogs! I still work with her all the time and teach her new things! I'm happy I brought her here and I always recommend it to friends and family!
