Our German Shepherd (in the most loving way possible) is a beautiful little monster. She comes from a long line of working and show dogs, and as such, she needs a job. In her mind, her designated job is “guard dog”, which, in theory, is great… sometimes. However, it has also led to issues with her being over-protective, reactive, and obstinate. We have been working with Paul for a little over a year on these traits, and have seen tremendous progress. When we first brought our girl to Paul, she could hardly walk on leash without pulling or getting distracted by various things around her. Now, my husband and I walk her with no issue - close to other people, pets, bikes, and skateboards - and she merely trots along, unfazed. Since working with Paul, she has shown immense improvement in her behaviors both outside and inside of the house. Paul is one of the few people she respects; he is one of the few people that she considers her “inner circle”. We also can trust him to take care of her while we are on vacation, as we board her with him when we go. He is one of the only people we know she will never feel intimidated by or scared of (though best believe she respects him!). The long and short of it is: PAUL KNOWS DOGS, especially German Shepherds. If you can get past the fact that he might not sound like your everyday, ‘run of the mill’, cookie cutter dog trainers, then you will not regret it. He is a good guy with a lot of insight, and we are very grateful that we found him when we did. We would highly recommend Paul’s services. He works around your schedule, is accommodating, and truly cares for your pet.

Been working with Paul for about 3 years now with our male Rottweiler. Paul was incredibly helpful during the process even before we picked up our dog as a pup. Paul helped us deal with our dog's aggressive and dominant behavior exhibited early on and he's been an awesome dog since. We regularly do doggy daycare and boarding with Paul in addition to the training. Would recommend him to anyone looking for someone who genuinely cares about dogs and has a ton of experience handling more complicated dog breeds!

We adopted a GSD/ husky mix from a kill shelter in SCAL through a rescue network. We asked all the pertinent questions, especially around getting along with other dogs and temperament. I have fostered dogs before so know that not all dogs like other dogs and what questions to ask. We were told she did fine with other dogs. However, this was very much not the case. She was very “dominant” acting and very dog reactive. We had to keep them separated and every small encounter there turned into a fight. We decided to seek professional help, Paul was the only trainer who wanted to discuss the case before he took it on to make sure he could help. We then made an appointment for an evaluation and started working with him. During the evaluation we also discovered she is an escape artist. Fast forward three weeks, we can actually have her in her kennel without continuous barking and whining, she can go on walks with our other husky mix without incident or aggression and she does not try to escape from the back yard. Her reactivity when walking to strange dogs is minimal and we are moving towards a calmer household. Paul knows dogs and is an expert at solutioning. He contacts us by texts and asks how things are going giving solid tips on dealing with adverse behaviors. Things are moving forward. I would highly recommend Paul, he knows his dogs, if you listen to the instructions it will work.
