Valor K9 Academy

This has been a very positive experience and I highly recommend Valor K9 Academy and The Puppy Head Start Program. Wow ! Trainer Aaron Shenk was professional , kind, gentle, very knowledgeable and got the job done . He trained and housed my puppy for 4 weeks and I’m very impressed with the results . Aaron even came to the puppy’s first vet visit to guide , help , teach , support in any way possible . Aaron did all the preliminary dog training so well that when I received the puppy she was able to compose herself and perform . The puppy was prepped , understood commands and was ready for me to continue the training in a non stressful manner. Aaron spent a lot of time with puppy & I teaching me skills like marker words and all sorts of drills. He authentically wanted puppy and I to succeed . Aaron also emailed me training videos and also allowed me to video him while he was training my dog so I can refer them as needed . I am also able to contact him with questions, boarding or any other lessons in the future . Incredible . It’s worth the investment .

We are a returning customer to Valor K9 Acadamy, this time bringing in a choco lab Abby who had some behavioral issues and needed basic training. Amy paired us with an amazing trainer Aaron who was able gain her trust and get her on the right track. We will need to continue to work with her using the tools & knowledge he gave us, but she will be a much happier dog for that. She is already calmer and easier to control. We are so pleased with the training both our dogs have gotten from Valor K9 Academy. They are honest, have high values, utmost integrity and an unwavering love for dogs. Amy, Thank you for all you do in our community and for matching our Abby with Aaron, it was a blessing in disguise. We can't recommend Amy (Owner) and Aaron (Trainer) highly enough. We had a challenging situation with a new puppy losing her hearing and becoming progressively 100% deaf and in the process, becoming fearful, scared, and anxious leading her to lash out. We did a 3-week board and train to build an initial foundation of new confidence and obedience, followed by individual training sessions to learn how best to support our pup. Aaron has been exceptional to work with. He is calm, extremely knowledgable, and has a natural gift for dog training. The results we have seen are incredible and we look forward to working with Valor K9 on more advanced training.

Valor K9 was recommended to us by our breeder and we could not be more grateful! We are training our dog as a service dog for our autistic daughter. Trainer Aaron has been instrumental in kuzco’s success and was able to help get Kuzco to pass his CGC test. I thought our dog was pretty well behaved prior to training but Aaron was able to instill obedience that was needed for service dogs. Aaron has been a great instructor to us as well so that we can continue to improve on Kuzcos skills. Our next step is task training which I have no doubt Valor k9 will be able to deliver on! Finding Amy and Valor K9 has been life changing for me. Amy is honest, professional, and compassionate. She helped me find an amazing puppy from an excellent breeder, and she has been helping me pursue my dream of raising a service dog. She led us to Aaron, who is an extremely knowledgeable dog trainer. I was hesitant about leaving my new puppy, but Aaron took the time to answer my questions, and he immediately set my mind at ease. Although he is young, Aaron is gentle, highly experienced, and he is gifted at communicating with dogs and their owners. Aaron worked with our pup for a board and train, and I couldn't be happier. I am already planning the next board and train with Aaron. I constantly get comments about how well trained River is. I have owned quite a few dogs in my life and I have used different training methods, but this has been a completely new experience. I highly recommend Valor K9.
