Valor K9 Academy

I’m so grateful to Valor K9 Academy and our trainer Samantha. My 2 year old, Maisie, just finished a 3 week board and train and returned home a calmer more confident girl. She was an anxious, barking mess before this training and she hasn’t barked since she’s been home. She has learned to lay calmly without reacting to every noise or movement around her. She also walks nicely on a leash. I can’t say enough about Samantha’s ability to work with Maisie and I. She kept in touch, sent lots of pictures and videos, and answered all my questions. Maisie had a little freak out at her go home lesson but Sam was firm but gentle with her and showed me how to work through this . Maisie still has a way to go but I’m confident that she really has a good training foundation now and I have the tools to help be her best. I really appreciate that Valor K9 Academy has such a structured training that is very simple for me to follow through on. There are only a few commands to master so there’s no confusion for the dog or me. I recommend Samantha and Valor K9 to anyone who wants a more peaceful dog.

We were lucky enough to get matched with her for our fur babies board and train. Taya is so absolutely incredibly gifted, it’s wild to see the progress our babe. Samantha had her work cut out for her with our two puppies during their board and train and she did not disappoint. The pups left with some significant behavioral problems with fear and anxiety due to littermate syndrome. Both dogs were terrified of all other dogs, any new people, and couldn’t stand to be apart from each other - making training them nearly impossible for us. Samantha brought them back to us completely transformed. They are still puppies and so they need us to continue to work with them to maintain and reinforce their new manners and independence, but Samantha did something we never could have done and is a miracle worker as far as I’m concerned. We are so glad that we made the decision to go with Valor K9!

I worked with Taya for some private lessons for my service dog and it was absolutely worth every penny. Taya has been extremely kind and understanding to both me and my siberian husky Ryker, while also remaining open and honest about the situation. While training with her my dog went from shutting down in all public situations to being able to work happily in multiple types of environments. On top of all the obedience and confidence he learned, I became more confident handling him and our bond has grown significantly. I definitely recommend Valor K9 Academy and Taya!

Samantha is an outstanding trainer. We have 2 small dogs ages 6yo and 3yo who had developed some bad habits and had never really been trained. We sent them to a 3 week camp and were extremely pleased with their manners and training when they came home. She sent several photos throughout their camp, which we really appreciated. Since they’ve graduated we board them with Samantha when we travel and it is a wonderful piece of mind to know that they are well cared for!!! Thank you!
