I can’t say enough good things about Dan, our dog trainer! From the moment we started working with him, he showed incredible patience, knowledge, and a genuine love for dogs and excipient communication for the owner doing the training. Our pup Loretta, was a typical Aussie puppy and with tons of energy and we wanted to work on leash walking, off leash training, stay in place training, and e collar training. Dan tailored his approach to suit our needs perfectly. His methods were clear, effective, and kind—no harsh tactics, just smart techniques that really clicked. After just a few sessions, I saw a huge improvement in Rhett’s’s skills and listening. My understanding also has greatly grown because Dan is training us too. We also use Dan for boarding and Loretta loves be there! She comes home so happy and tired and with better manors than when we dropped her off. Dan always sends us pictures and videos and we love seeing them. Dan’s passion for what he does shines through, and I’d recommend him to anyone looking to bring out the best in their dog!

Dan has done an incredible job with our golden retriever pup. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Dan communicates the training process in a very understandable way, and is great at teaching the dog’s owner and their role in training. I have learned so much from his lessons and have been able to apply them to our puppy as he continues to grow. Our golden is now 8 months old, and is obedient while walking (heels, waits, comes, etc), and around our house. I would highly recommend Dan as a dog trainer for anyone looking to train a puppy or for refreshing some training with older dogs.

I worked with Dan briefly before he started his life change to training dogs. At that time, Dan spent his weekends walking dogs at the shelter and always encouraged his coworkers to join. He is a pet lover through and through. When I got my dog 8 years ago, I had a friend that recommended Dan and when I put it together that it was the Dan I had worked with, I was stoked....I'm hearing from a friend how great he is at training her German Shepards and I'm also stoked because I know how much he loves animals from back in the day when he volunteered. I got my dog Hank when he was 4 months old from a shelter and he is my first dog. Dan was not only great at training Hank, but he was also phenomenal at training me...which could be arguably more important. Dog training must continue at home for it to really stick - this is something I didn't really know. Dan gave me videos to follow of his training sessions with Hank and a minor amount of paper to reference (I like this a lot). I can recommend Dan with confidence to anybody, and all my friends comment on how Hank is the best trained dog they know.
