Utah K9 Training

We LOVE Utah K9 Training! Our two adult, adopted dogs went to the month-long camp (4 all-day lessons). The first day we saw such an improvement in their behavior, it would’ve been worth the cost of the entire camp just for the first day of training. The staff was great about modifying their lesson plans to meet our dogs behavioral needs. One of our dogs was already great at sit, stay, recall and house manners, but has terrible socialization skills. So, they modified the curriculum to involve 2 days of walking through the park and working on being around other dogs.

If you are serious about having a well-trained, well-behaved dog, look no further. I took both the Basic Obedience course and Basic E-Collar course, and I never would have believed two months ago where my dog is at now. She started off not even coming when called, and now I can walk her off-leash on busy trails full of other dogs without a worry. She also used to pull on-leash and lunge at other dogs, and now I can walk her with one finger. I often receive compliments about how obedient she is. I'm not embellishing - Mike's methods really work. It's up to you to do the work, and you should come ready to learn and spend the time at home, but it's so worth it. I'll never go back to chaotic dog ownership. Mike will teach you how your dog thinks and all the reasons your efforts might not be working. He has a ton of experience teaching dogs, diagnosing and correcting issues, and it will surprise you how quickly your dog likes and obeys him. You'll see how your body language, inconsistency, and generally unrefined strategies are confusing your dog. Alongside reliable commands, Mike also focuses on structure and leadership, with a firm but gentle approach. I admittedly babied my dog, but I learned how a lack of boundaries was actually stressful for her. I can't begin to describe how my relationship with my dog has improved and how much happier she seems. She's attentive, calm, and even things like excessive barking just disappeared. I never would have imagined the confidence I have in her now. I spend a lot more time with her outside because it's not stressful anymore, and she loves the controlled freedom and enrichment. It was a dream of mine to take my dog backpacking, or to one day train a hunting dog, and now those things feel totally realistic. I'm so grateful I found this training program; my dog and I are much better for it. Thanks Mike. PS. Don't worry if your dog is older or doesn't have a great foundation of commands. My dog was almost four and only knew "sit" when we started.
