Utah Bird Dog Training provides professional bird dog and obedience training in Payson, Utah, backed by nearly 20 years of experience. We train retrievers, pointing dogs, and family dogs through structured board-and-train programs, from puppy foundations and obedience to advanced upland and waterfowl training. Our goal is to develop reliable, confident dogs that perform in the field and are enjoyable to live with at home. We work with dog owners throughout Utah and across the West.

The folks at Utah Bird Dog Training are fantastic people to work with. We sent our two young GSP/Lab mixes for obedience training and an intro to guns and hunting. Our dogs were quite unruly prior to their time at UBD, when we picked them up... they were like two new pups, following at heel, listening to commands and much more calm. It was worth the time away from the girls to have them change so much. I would recommend them for your dogs training and would use them again to further our dogs training.

Tyce and his crew are extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. I was apprehensive about sending my dog away for months, but their care and knowledge quickly put me at ease. I've had him back 2 weeks and have seen immediately improvement and change. Would recommend to anyone.

I'd highly recommend Tyce for your bird dog training. It's now July and my 20 month lab is just back from a 2 month training session and is now handling on blinds like a machine. I've always had good labs but hadn't dedicated the effort to the next level. With this dog, I focused on obedience as a puppy then Tyce helped me with some basic field handing drills during a few 1 hr sessions. I spent the first season shooting a ton of ducks, geese and upland over the dog so as a 1 yr old, I got him plenty of hunting exposure and steady to wing and shot. Tyce and his crew then took him to the next level... I was literally blown away! He provides good follow up literature and videos to remind us as handlers the proper procedures/ commands to stay consistent with how the dog had been trained. So be prepared to be trained yourself for the best results. I'm not into field trials or ribbons- we look for our labs ti be more good citizens, a part of the family and functional hunting dogs. Super excited to be going into the second season with this dog and what we BOTH have learned!
