Utah Bird Dog Training provides professional bird dog and obedience training in Payson, Utah, backed by nearly 20 years of experience. We train retrievers, pointing dogs, and family dogs through structured board-and-train programs, from puppy foundations and obedience to advanced upland and waterfowl training. Our goal is to develop reliable, confident dogs that perform in the field and are enjoyable to live with at home. We work with dog owners throughout Utah and across the West.

These guys were great! I had a short meeting with Jeff when I dropped Goose off to go over expectations and what I wanted to get out of the training.
Jeff sent a pupdate every other week telling me what he had been working on, how he was doing, and what he was going to be working on next. I had to change the plan and cut the training a little short (taking him back in the summer to finish things up) and they were flexible and worked with me on adjusting the timeline of everything.
At the end, they sent me videos of Goose working through everything, as well as training videos to reference as i continue things at home. When I went to pick him up, they showed me everything, then taught me how to use the commands and e-collar until I felt comfortable.
These guys know what they're doing and they put a lot of pride and effort into their work. It definitely shows. They also stay available after you pickup to answer any questions and give tips if you every run into any issues at home.

Tyce and his team did an amazing job with our dog, teaching her the basics of being a waterfowl partner. I will never be a fan of my dog being somewhere else for four months but knowing how well they treated her made it easier. If you are considering training make sure you consider Utah Bird Dog Training!

Loki has been amazing since his training. Utah Bird dog training has been amazing since day one. They took Great care of my dog. I am so pleased with the amazing job they did working and training my dog. Their quality in training is reflected when I am working the field in a bird hunt, or just out in public either at a dog park or wherever. He is so well behaved and I can see Loki LOVES being out and working. They were also able to train me as a dog handler. I loved seeing the progress pictures and I am glad to know they are available if I ever need help or have questions. I would definitely recommend them and would plan on using their services again!

Loved what they did for my dog. After the training time frame, they took the time to let me go through all the command’s. Making sure I was comfortable with the commands before I left. Outstanding training and great one on one coaching. I would definitely recommend them…

Hard to believe that this big hearted doodle turned out to be a big hearted hunting dog! I’m so impressed with the entire team! My boy Fitz just hunted his first day on point with upland birds and I couldn’t be more pleased! Thank you to the entire team for the great training and keeping me connected the entire way!
