Puppy kindergarten wasn't always easy for us as our pup is young and loud. He loves people and other dogs and all he wanted to do was play. He barked and barked when Drayton was trying to instruct people on the training. Karen was very helpful to help settle our pup and Drayton didn't lose his patience. I told him I would likely not come to the last few classes as our pup was a distraction to all the other puppies. To his credit, Drayton said, no, bring him, he is fine. For the last few classes our pup was in heaven running around, playing and socializing with the other puppies. He was still loud when it was time to stop playing for awhile but I am glad we stayed. He improved and learned how to integrate better. Each week we work on the training tips and he has been much better behaved and able to settle himself. We watched as the puppies matured and became more comfortable with the socializing and interacting. Drayton is a dog person and he has very specific ways to train and run the class. If you are open to listening and receiving constructive criticism in order to better train your puppy, then this is for you.

Not the person you want to bring your dog to. He’s a “force free” trainer instead of a balanced trainer which means he’s going to require you to try to bribe your dog with toxic treats and tell you to avoid challenges vs actually facing and resolving issues and creating boundaries and true obedience and partnership with your dog. Most dogs with high drive or reactivity issues have zero interest in food, so you won’t be solving your issues with him. He has zero control over his dogs and as a trainer he has no idea how to hold a leash. You can see in all his YouTube videos he’s wrapping the leash clean around his hand to control the dogs, which is dangerous and unnecessary. He does this because he has no true control over half the dogs. Instead of using a prong collar that when used correctly would allow full control over a dog that pulls or lunges, he’d rather wrap the leash around his hand and let the dog choke itself on a flat collar, while he tries to bribe it with gross treats it’s not interested in, until he eventually just tells you the only solution is to avoid the triggers which in some cases is impossible and not what you paid him for. And if somehow your dog is magically fixed by him, it will have taken an unnecessarily long time and you’d better carry treats the rest of the dogs life to bribe him. Basic puppy obedience I’m sure he’s fine. Thats all luring and reward you can learn for free on YouTube. A child can teach that. But if your dog needs real training, and it’s anything more than a docile calm dog friendly food motivated house pet - this is not your guy. He can’t handle high drive, high energy, reactive dogs. Aggressive dogs? Don’t waste your time. This guy is not even going to respond. lol Your dog will get sick from all the treats you have to give it just to walk past another dog. Additionally he’s rude and condescending if you have had success with a prong or eCollar despite being extremely valuable tools when conditioned and used properly or even if you’re open to his “new” methods. He will refuse to even talk to you because he already knows your dog is above his paygrade and his training won’t work.

I just loved every one of the classes! They were so much fun. I love seeing the dogs interact with each other and chase Drayton and Karen around for their "pay". They do an excellent job of keeping everyone involved everyone happy especially the dogs. It's such a nice learning experience so easy and so relaxing. They should have a TV show like this people would love it. Can't wait for our intermediate class PS Loved the puppy graduation ceremony!!

Dayton and Karen are fantastic! The program is very easy to follow and the sessions are so enjoyable. Each puppy is given plenty of playtime with the group as well as individual reps to get their commands down. The homework packets are easy to follow and the tone of the class is so upbeat and fun. We completed the first six-week session and it was a no-brainer to continue to the next level. Easily the best dog-training class I have been a part of!
