Upward Hound Dog Training

Upward Hound has been such an important part of our introduction of our doodle pup, Frankie, into our family. Casey and her team offered a fresh “all carrot, no stick” approach. We learned so much in our puppy kindergarten class and we’ve continued to use the tools we were given. When our pup got close to a year, we again reached out to Upward Hound for some individual instruction on how to keep our dogs healthy, happy and safe as they each navigated their relationships with each other and us. Upward Hound is the real deal; they’re certified professionals and they love helping people! We’re forever grateful!

I was given a list of dog trainers from my vet when my puppy was having difficulties at his vet visits. I'm so thankful that Upward Hound was on that list and was the first one I called. We started puppy kindergarten a few weeks later. It was amazing! It was the beginning of a life changing journey for Diesel (my pup). Casey and her team are wonderful with my dog and the other dogs in class, too. They really have an understanding of what dogs need. They are so patient and kind with Diesel. He has a lot of anxiety and is very fearful of noises and movements and people. We have made a lot of progress with Upward Hound. We are doing fear free grooming for nail trims in addition to classes. Although we aren't to the point of him being comfortable enough to try trimming yet, I am confident that he will get there and it won't be traumatic as it would be if I forced him to get it done in another facility without the gentle approach with Upward Hound.
