My gsd puppy is 5 months and he has gone upstairs but will not go down them. This has been one of many obstacles im faced with on a daily basis. He is also biting Hard on my arms, legs, and bruises me. Is this fear anxiety?

I want to also say I have had someone come to the house who was a professional trainer,but she couldn't get him to go down. She suggested stair treads but i got them right away and now its three weeks later, still im stuck carrying him back down. He is heavy and im doing all i can to get him to walk down! HE IS A SMART DOG! His puppy biting doesnt seem innocent anymore its also getting way to hard for me to endure! I called last night but the office was closed. I am in tears because ive tried all other techniques out there and i am so patient and loving with my puppy,not to mention all the money put into my puppy to give him the best but i don't know what im doing wrong. He is arfraid to even go in a car for rides with me! Any help is appreciated! I love my dog and am desperate to get help!

Thomas, thank you for videos and they're really helping me train my 4 month old lab. Question: the Pat Nolan book from Dogtra has all behavior taught first with collar only then the voice command is added. You say connect collar to your voice. Help!

We brought our nine-month-old working line German Shepherd, Bear, to Upstate Canine Academy for board and train—and we couldn’t be happier with the results! Kyle Gelsomini was exceptional, helping us understand Bear’s needs while balancing them with our lifestyle. He has a genuine love and understanding of dogs which was very apparent in his work with Bear, always emphasizing what would be a fair expectation for Bear. As a working line GSD expected to reach 120 lbs in adulthood, it was crucial that Bear be well-adjusted to life in NYC. Thanks to UCA, Bear is now thriving—well-behaved, fun-loving, and a neighborhood favorite! One of the most valuable aspects of UCA’s program is the lifetime support. We had an incredible experience with Upstate Canine Academy—Kyle, Marigrace, Zach, Alyssa, and Casein were all incredibly caring, compassionate, and supportive throughout our journey. I just completed four week dog training with my two year old dog. Cannot recommend enough, I left with a completely new dog that was trained on issue beyond what I knew she had. The team sincerely cares about your dog, is extremely attentive, and I had zero worries about my dog while she was there. Zach and Kasen both worked with my dog and were amazing. Zach spent almost three hours on pickup day tho thoroughly explaining everything to me and left me feeling very confident to continue progress at home. The weekly updates were very detailed on what was accomplished and what to expect in the coming weeks. They take the time to set you up for success and explain everything at the end of training thoroughly. Would recommend to anyone who is seeking dog training

We had a terrific experience with Zach at Upstate Canine Academy. We have a 3-year old spaniel who had fear aggression. We've had excellent results from the training. Our dog now reacts calmly to strangers coming to the house, and greets them politely. We drove an hour to get to the Upstate Canine Academy for each of the training sessions, and it was definitely worth the time and the money to invest in our dog. We wish we had done it sooner!
