It was very difficult for us to leave our almost 2 years old Golden Retriever, Willow, for three weeks to be trained. But, she was difficult to walk, dragging me at times, actually pulling out my back once and my shoulder once. She was terrified of street lights and would try to drag me across the street to avoid them. She would go crazy, doing zoomies, when meeting another dog. She barked at everything, would jump up on kitchen counters to steal food. Virginia and Kate were wonderful. They sent us pictures and videos of Willow, so we could see how she was progressing. Willow came home, so much better. She is a joy to walk. She can even be walked unleashed in allowable areas. She is no longer afraid of street lamps and now even sniffs them up close. She can meet other dogs without going completely crazy. She is still a work in progress. We meet with Virginia at parks, Lowe’s or at home, wherever we need to continue to train Willow. The cost is not cheap, but to my husband and me, it was worth every penny and we would do it again with another dog. The continued support from Unleashed Canine Companions is priceless.

Unleashed Canines has been an incredible gift for my puppy, Sundance. She spent several weeks training with Virginia, and the transformation has been remarkable. We sent our lovable goofball Waylon off for a two-week board & train, and let me tell you—he came back a gentleman. From day one, the team at Unleashed was incredibly communicative. We got regular updates, adorable pics, and reassuring messages that made it clear Waylon wasn’t just training—he was thriving. Honestly, we think he might’ve been living his best life. (We’re still waiting for him to ask to go back for a play date.) They laid down a solid training foundation that we can build on, and now we have a dog who doesn’t treat every walk like a NASCAR race. He listens, he’s calm, and he even sits like he’s auditioning for a dog food commercial. We’re so grateful to the amazing trainers who clearly love what they do and treated Waylon like one of their own.
