We’re sorry this has happened, and for your loss. We do wish you had utilized our lifetime support and used your follow-up office visits and/or video help. Also sorry you didn’t take advantage of the after care that is available to you as part of the Board & Train program so we could have helped you. As was explained before you ever enrolled in our program, aggression issues cannot be fully removed or guaranteed, rather we give you rules and guidelines that are specific to the cause of your dog’s aggression. We only heard from you briefly in the group communication app we still have set up one day after your exit training with your dog that you needed help, and we sent information and additional videos for the issues you mentioned that needed follow up. We asked for you to keep us posted on your progress. We did not receive any updates or any requests for an office visit or any indicator from you that your dog was struggling. After speaking with you today, it appears the dog was not in your immediate care, on a leash, or in a muzzle during this terrible dog fight. These behaviors can only be managed by the human. Prior to enrollment, and when you did your exit training, it was explained that behaviors shift with a consistent way of doing things that takes longer than the time you’ve had your dog back. It’s hard work to shape behaviors. The group communication app we set up during the board and train where all of the videos you saw of your dog’s progress is still there and available as a communication tool. We offer one on one follow ups, phone calls, texts, etc. As many as you need to be successful. You gave us no opportunity to help, and we absolutely would have.
