Unleashed Abilities: Coaching People, Training Dogs

I usually don’t write Google reviews but felt that I needed to given the exceptional job Keri did for our family. She’s a talented trainer, and we continue working with her after our initial package because we love learning from her. Keri skillfully integrated our new puppy with our older dog, creating a harmonious home. Her training boosted our shy puppy’s confidence and obedience, using techniques like positive reinforcement and gradual exposure. Now, I feel confident taking both dogs out in public without the negative behaviors we initially faced. Keri has truly made a positive impact on our family!

Two Aussies, what was I thinking? After nearly 30 years of a single dog household, I decided to get two. Both have their some fears and anxieties - maybe partly because they were Covid pups. I hired a trainer when they were pups but now at 3 and 5, they needed more. I searched, a lot, for a trainer. I liked the philosophy on Unleashed Abilities’ web site. I knew the second I met Keri that she was the one. I was initially not interested in e collar training but Keri took the time to teach me how to use. Her philosophy is positive training, not punishment. Hire Keri, you will not regret it. The pups immediately liked her. We are about finished with day school for the first pup. The difference is amazing in both what the pup and we have learned. We will take a break for the owners (us) to practice more of what we learned with pup #1 and then start day school for pup #2. I know that pup #1 is going to miss when school is over with his new best friend, Keri. He has taken his school job very seriously. Pup#1 pic attached. Look at him listening!

Stephanie was highly recommended by a neighbor with a goldendoodle. We had 5 sessions with Stephanie and they were well worth it! Stephanie a natural with dogs and can speak their language. She found solutions to issues we were having at home and outside with our standard goldendoodle puppy. She made training our dog enjoyable and gave us essential tips. It is not an overnight process, but she gives you the knowledge to implement. What I also greatly appreciated was her recap emails after each visit and also suggestions for specific items to purchase/rent with links to help with our issues. They worked! I like dealing with smart people and she is one of them! She also has a pleasant and cheerful personality. I would highly recommend her services if it is in your budget!

Keri, at Unleashed Abilities, is wonderful! We have a 2 year old Boxer, Tinker, that we rescued. Tinker came from tough circumstances and was fairly shy and skittish, but Keri most definitely speaks dog! Tinker's little nub tail goes crazy when Keri comes, and she responded wonderfully to her. Keri' imparted helpful lessons and tips in the sessions, making it fun for Tinker, and is so personable and easy to get along and talk with. She's knowledgeable and has both the metaphorical tools to help equip us with continued training, but also great recommendations and big bag with her for anything that might be helpful along the way towards that personalized attention for our pup. So very worth it. It's no coincidence that Keri knows other dog people we know and like and is part of the same recommendation network. Thank you Keri!

Stephanie was absolutely amazing in helping socialize our puppy, Onyx. We started with her when he was just 14 weeks old, and from the very beginning, she went above and beyond with her level of training and support. She was incredibly patient, not just with Onyx, but with our whole family, teaching us how to be the best family for him. The trust she built with Onyx and with us was so quick and natural, and every session left us feeling more confident and supported. She communicated clearly, sent us detailed summaries after each session, and even shared photos to help us stay on track with our practice at home. Onyx absolutely adored Stephanie, and it was obvious how much love and dedication she brought to every training session. The results were so responsive and encouraging that I honestly didn’t want the training to end! I wish we could have her guiding us through the entire first year of Onyx’s life,I would gladly continue because of how invaluable her help has been. Thanks to Stephanie, Onyx is growing into a well-mannered, obedient, and happy boy, and we feel confident as his family. I can’t recommend her enough, she is truly exceptional!
