Unleash Fido

Unleash Fido did an incredible job with our dogs. They took a very effective approach of treating both dogs for their individual needs and for them to properly behave as part of a household with other dogs. They were also very adaptable based on how each dog responded to training and their behavior upon returning home. We were given more than enough guidance and support to help our dogs continue to thrive after their stay was complete. Lydia was very dedicated to making sure that our dogs had the best possible outcome. She was extremely thorough in completely understanding each dog and tailoring the training for their specific needs, as well as helping us understand how to continue this training once our dogs returned home. Macayla was another trainer who worked closely with our dogs, she helped us to better understand their behaviors and contributed greatly to the progress our dogs made. We are very grateful for the amazing work Unleash Fido did with our dogs and highly recommend them!

I brought our two dogs to Unleash Fido unsure of what to expect. I had recently bought my Great Dane puppy, Leopold. We knew Leo was going to be a very large, very strong dog so it was important to us that he was well behaved and well trained. I also had my shepherd / lab rescue - Rae who is 9.5 years old and a total princess. She is an extremely sweet baby but has been leash reactive her entire life. We could already see some of her reactive tendencies influencing Leo. We met with Lydia who was extremely knowledgeable and direct. She recommended puppy obedience for Leo and Behavior Modification for Rae. After consideration, we decided to send both to board and train. Unleash Fido was extremely accommodating. They helped us line up the training so it fit with some of our vacations when we would have had to board them anyway. I was devastated leaving them for so long, but knew it was necessary. Leo took 3 weeks to graduate puppy obedience and Rae took six weeks to graduate behavior modification. Lydia was extremely thorough with them and responsive to any texts or questions I had. If you are considering board and train, do it. It was worth every penny. We still have our floppy, goober Dane puppy but he is a well mannered gentleman when walking. We also have tools to house train him effectively. It is so much fun to continue his lessons and see him learn. We even signed him up for advanced obedience when he turns 7.5 months! The biggest difference was in Rae. Anyone who owns a reactive dog knows how stressful walks can be. She was out of control, loud and barking at other dogs and sometimes people. After board and train, she is a completely different dog on walks. She is calm and stays in her “heel”. I have noticed she has less anxiety as well. We love our daily training walks and it is an absolute pleasure to walk around the neighborhood. I also really like the convenience of their boarding facilities, and knowing that my dogs will get a lot of love and be with handlers who know how to keep up their training ! Lydia was amazing. She completely changed our dogs behavior, without changing their personalities. Highly recommend!

I used this company to train my previous dog back in 2020, and the results were outstanding. Because of that success, I decided to use Unleash Fido again for my current pup, who had developed some bad habits I couldn’t break on my own. Those issues had made us hesitant, and honestly embarrassed, to take him out in public. I was matched with Lydia as our trainer, and she was fantastic. They kept my dog for a few weeks, during which Lydia stayed in close contact, sending regular updates and training videos. After the board-and-train program ended, she continued with follow-up meetups and additional hands-on training. Overall, my experience with Lydia and the entire team was amazing. My dog, Sniper, is now very obedient, and nearly all of his negative behaviors have been corrected. The transformation has been so positive that my family now feels completely confident bringing him around friends and out in public.

Well worth the money. Our rescue pup went there almost feral and came out 4 weeks later as a well behaved member of society. Dog walks are no longer embarrassing and anxiety ridden, and our Ozzy has way more confidence and calmness. Dakota and his team did amazing and were so thorough and helpful with training and educating both us and Ozzy. Thank you! We were, unfortunately, almost regretting our adoption, and now we couldn’t imagine life without Ozzy.

We recently completed the 8 week training course with our trainer. We were highly impressed. Our dog is completely different from class 1 to now. Our trainer Lydia with Unleash Fido she was so professional, nice, and personable. You can just tell she loves her job. She took amazing care of girl Rena. She was always so happy to see Rena and us.she was also very accommodating for scheduling after school home visits. And extremely responsive. Rena learned how to do sit/stay/come, heel, place and down. You absolutely have to continue with your dog at home. While the trainers know what they’re doing, you have to keep it up. She’s now an expert at all of these “moves Highly highly recommend!!! So glad we made the call and chose them to help us with our pup!
