I just sent my 2 year old cuddle cavapoo to Raelene for a 2 week board and train. My teenagers, upon hearing that Scout would be able to walk nicely off leash upon her return, scoffed that it would take a miracle for that to happen.
Fortunately for us, a miracle is what Raelene was able to provide! Raelene sent us video updates throughout the 2 weeks, and when we saw a video of Scout walking nicely off leash, 🤯 one teen wanted to know what ‘black magic’ she used, the other suspected it wasn’t actually our dog at all. 😂
Raelene listened to what our biggest issues were (barking at people/dogs walking by our house and bolting out the front door), and told us she’d work on those, plus guaranteed the 5 basics of sit, down, place, come, and heel. Throughout the time Scout was with Raelene, they went *everywhere* - places I never would have dreamed of taking Scout. (Truck pulls and car shows, among other places!) What’s more, she was largely off leash, playing nicely with other dogs, and recalling off of them when she needed to.
The changes in Scout are readily apparent. While she’s not perfect (which is more user error than her fault 😅), there is a night and day difference in her behavior. She comes when called, sits on command, and stays in a sit/down/place, even around distractions! And yes, she can walk nicely off leash!! She is noticeably calmer in general which is a completely unexpected benefit. She is barking 95% less (and a quick reminder from us settles her down the other 5% of the time) and her door manners are perfection. Another thing I didn’t expect but LOVE is that Scout will hang out near me when she’s off leash - so I can take her out in the front yard, and she’ll stay near me rather than wandering off into the neighbors’ yards, or sprinting down the street.
Today, we went on a walk (on leash, because I still have trust issues 😂) where she heeled nicely and even got some off leash time along a secluded canal bank. On our return, a leashed dog started barking at her - so nice not to have the problem dog for once! - and she got distracted from her heel. I could feel her stress mounting so I gently increased the stimulation on her e-collar while reminding her to heel, and within seconds she was heeling like I was the only thing that mattered in life. We walked about ten feet away, and once I could tell she was focusing better, I stopped so I could praise her. I could feel the stress melt off of her. She gave me a look that said, “Whew! That was stressful! Thanks for getting me out of that, Mom!” I’ve never before had the tools or the ability to help my dog when she was feeling overwhelmed. 😭🥰 Instead, we’d get in these situations where her stress was mounting until she lost control. The relationship and trust we can build from here, where she KNOWS I can help her out of a tough spot, will be life changing for both of us. If THAT is not a miracle, I don’t know what is!
The entire time Scout was gone, Raelene worked with dedication and passion, even when experiencing a personal tragedy in her life. She took the time to answer all of my questions, and continues to answer them and support me on any issues that come up. She took the time to walk me, literally, with Scout on and off the leash, through everything I needed to know and do to continue what Scout has learned. I’m so grateful to Raelene and Underworld Kennels for giving me the amazing dog that I always wanted and always knew Scout could be!

I can't praise these guys enough for all the hard work and love they gave her while in their care and the cost is in my eyes the vest around. I adopted a 2 year old GSD with not the best start in life. He did fine on my meet and greet with my dog, so thought things would be fine. I'm an OTR driver and I had several times were Gunther went after other dogs. The final straw was when he jumped out of an open window while I was in the building and attacked two dogs. I called underworld and arranged an evaluation. Just from that brief hour, I seen a change in my dog. We did the board and train and Tilly took my furkid and began the transformation. The videos and prompt answering of any questions were amazing! I met Tilly to pick up Gunther three weeks later and was trained on how to keep up with his training and even joked about her switching dogs on me. I dropped off a high strung dog that would drag me when on leash and would freak out when he would see another dog, to a calmer dog that walked off leash at a heel through a store with me. I cried! We have been back on the road and he has done fantastic! We work on commands everytime we stop. I even was able to properly introduce him to a strange dog and watch them play together. It was definitely worth every penny and Tilly and Rae truly know what is best for your dog no matter the issue. They are still there if I have any questions or issues. I recommend them to anyone that asks. You can't go wrong. They have multiple training options to meet your needs and schedule.
