Ultimate Canine

First of all, everyone at Ultimate Canine was so pleasant and accommodating to work with. They were very willing to answer all my questions and talk me through the different options they have for dog training. We had expected to do all in-home training sessions, but we had some unexpected things come up that ended up making our lives more chaotic than we had originally planned when we got our puppy. We decided that doing the stay and train program would be a better fit for our needs. Our cavalier king charles spaniel puppy, Nella, was at Ultimate Canines for two weeks receiving training with Tyler, who did a fantastic job. You can tell through conversations with Tyler that he loves what he’s doing and he really knows and understands dogs, their behaviors, and how to handle them. He was so patient and did a great job with my three kids. We wanted Nella to learn basic manners. Tyler gave her a great foundation and more. We were amazed with what he accomplished with her in just a couple of weeks. Now that she is home, we are able to continue to reinforce what she learned and fine tune the training to fit our needs. It’s going really well. Tyler continues to be helpful when we have questions and need any guidance on how to continue the training. Nella was a good, sweet puppy before she went to Ultimate Canine, but she came home to us even more well behaved and a lot calmer, like she received an extra boost of puppy trust and confidence. We would 100% recommend Tyler and Ultimate Canines to anyone looking for a trainer. It was definitely worth the investment!

I was on a waitlist to spend roughly $75,000 for a fully trained dog and training with Ultimate Canine, but removed myself due to increasing problems with hidden fees and a lack of value for my time as well. When altering a board and train the changes in fees are not communicated. I have been a long time customer of Julie's prior to her moving to her new facility in Westfield. It use to be wonderful operation with great trainers. I recommended several friends to support her business and purchased gift certificates for them as well. However, as Ultimate Canine expanded the young adults seem to manage most of the dog care. They seem to operate more for your money than for the appreciation of your business. One of my dog has specific handling requirements due to a health condition. As the last 2 visits had issues with dog handling, only one dog gets boarded and attends daycare. It is very sad to see what use to be such a wonderful business go downhill. If this is just a short term hiccup I will alter this review, but am on the fence about whether to continue supporting Ultimate Canine.

This is a bit late, but Joe worked with our dog, Amos. Amos is a toy poodle with a lot of energy and smart as a whip. He has absolutely excelled since his stay at Ultimate Canine. Joe was a class act to work with from the beginning of our experience and we will absolutely be sending future dogs there. He sent us pictures of Amos and even called to update us on Amos's progress. It was heartwarming to see Joe's demeanor with Amos while Amos absolutely tested all of our patience. Joe was calm, firm, and most importantly fair. I know my husband and I learned more from the experience than our pup. Joe helped us see that it is our job to show our pets how to behave. Ultimate Canine and Joe exemplify that there is a way to train your dog without using excessive force or fear. Thank you, Joe and the entire Ultimate Canine team.

Ultimate Canine offers so much more than just being the "Harvard" of dog schools. "Trust" is the common theme - trusting them with my child to apply their level of expertise and genuine care has resulted in a level of comfort and peace that is unbelievable. All of the staff is exceptional and provides the highest level of customer service. Joe Cruz, my trainer is dedicated to his clients in ways you can't imagine - his results are magical and fun for the dog. Every minute I spent with Joe was extremely professional and above and beyond my original expectations. I have been with numerous trainers over the years and wish I had known about this facility sooner!!

We worked with Ultimate Canine and our trainer, Joe Cruz, and the experience was great. Joe is incredibly knowledgeable and professional.
