Ty The Dog Guy

After all the good reviews, I had hoped that this program would be great. I had the consult and clearly outlined my needs and expectations. I was told the program would be a great fit for me and my pup. He did the board and train program for 3 weeks. I got minimal communication but the trainer did his job. This program was totally not the right one for my dog. Nothing changed despite trying to implement the new training at home. Things really just got worse. I really wish that the person I had the consult with had been honest with me and just said that their program probably wouldn’t be the right fit. I was told that they don’t use e-collars and that there would be minimal work I would have to do after. For over $3000, my dog shouldn’t have to wear an ecollar forever. I expressed my frustrations with the trainer during our follow up session and haven’t even finished the second one because of how pointless it’s been. I also expressed my issues and frustrations with Lindy and nothing has happened either. I honestly feel swindled- what is the point of having a consultation if youre not upfront about your program and just want the business? Biggest waste of money. Everyone that knows my dog just laughs because this has been a complete joke.

My 8 year old rescue dog has serious baggage from his previous years. I thought I tried to help him over the 6 years I’ve had him but honestly I didn’t know what I was doing. I thought I could self teach by videos and online information and it never helped. Ty was my last chance, the cost was a hard pill to swallow but worth it. I would have liked to send him to training however he doesn’t do well and gets very upset and sick so I opted for the trainer to come here . It has been a lot of work but definitely worth all of it! I have learned so much as a dog owner, my dog has made significant improvements, together we have grown closer and have a really good relationship now. I’ve already referred people to Ty and will continue to do so. I really honestly think people should take classes for themselves before adopting or purchasing a dog because we don’t realize we are bad dog owners until we understand truly that our dog needs far more than the love and shelter and food we give. Dogs really are man’s best friend but this relationship can only truly be enjoyed if we the owners put in the work. I understand that “training “ will be forever and not only am ok with that but it’s what everyone should understand prior to becoming a dog owner. My dog really loves training he gets so happy and excited to do the work and I really love spending this time with him. Don’t wait for your dog to have issues contact Ty now or if your thinking about getting a dog because the more you know the better owner you are❤️ and then everyone is happy.

I recently finished this program with my 2 year old pitbull mix and the progress we’ve made has been incredible! This has helped immensely with obedience, engagement and our greeting/playing manners with other dogs. Alexis was amazing! We came into this training with some previous training under our belt and she met us where we were at. She always took the time to ask about any concerns or issues we were having and gave us helpful recommendations for future corrections. I now feel more confident taking my dog in public and exposing her to new adventures.

Cannot say enough great things about our experience with Ty’s trainers and the results with our Bernedoodle. The homework, sessions at our home (and even one at our local Home Depot store), and the group training were all transformative. Our dog improved so quickly our friends and neighbors were impressed. Our dog is now very easy to manage off leash and we even took her back country backpacking. She is a dream to hike with, loves running errands around town with us, and is wonderful off leash around our unfenced property. Couldn’t believe how fast the training worked. Well worth the investment in Ty’s program and with the trainers.
