Ty The Dog Guy

I am new to dogs and had no idea where to begin when we got our puppy. I knew I wanted a dog that behaved well, especially with 3 kids in the house. We hired Ty the Dog Guy. The program is founded on simple ideas that require positive reinforcement and consistency. Although the foundational ideas are simple, sometimes the details can be tricky to execute. The good news is, I was paired with an excellent trainer that was a critical resource. I watched the videos and implemented the training skills and then the trainer came and helped answer questions and refined my training skills. With consistency, we have seen immense progress with our new dog! I’m convinced we would have given Daisy to a new family if it weren’t for this program. Couldn’t recommend enough!

I might be about three years late but Krysta was amazing to work with Varric. He has a lot of people aggression issues, as well as resource guarding. She came in to help me get him back under control. The group classes also allow me to continue to work with his issues. While he'll never be a friendly to strangers dog, I can bring him to places now with less concern of him lunging and biting someone. And during group classes he is an absolute angel, even progressing to a limited ability to walk off leash. Thank you for helping me with my beast. It was worth every penny. --Carrie Kretzschmann

This is the third time I have hired a professional dog trainer, to train The Worst Dog Ever Jasper, (bless his heart). At 7 yrs old, he had been to two 3 week boot camps, and had still continued to be very difficult to take anywhere outside of my home. I decided that I wanted to try one more time, to help make the last years of our time together, enjoyable and give him the chance to be a dog. Alexis was our trainer, and I cannot speak highly enough of how much she helped us. I say "us" because it was just as much me as it was my dog, and she helped us both. I cried when jasper was able to go to home depot without having an aggressive breakdown, and have now been able to take him on walks and felt confidence in my ability to keep him (and myself) in check. Alexis saw in my dog, what I had lost the ability to see, and she gave me the confidence and support to reconnect with him. I am profoundly thankful for her skills and support. She truly changed both my life and the life of my dog jasper. If only I would have found her before spending thousands of dollars with other trainers. Thank you so much.

I had an awesome experience with this program and my trainer Dayna at Ty the Dog Guy. Ty himself and other trainers provided thorough information upon making my decision to enroll my dog in the program, and to determine which program was best to fit me and my dog's needs. My trainer Dayna was very flexible to fit my schedule and to tailor training to my dog's specific needs and pace. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and I have seen a great improvement in my dog's behavior. In addition, my dog has gotten a lot of benefit from the group training classes which are offered. I would definitely recommend!
