Two Tails Training

We are so happy we found Fernando. We started training our two puppies with hopes that they would be able to go anywhere and do anything with us while also being safe. Thanks to TwoTailsTraining we are well on our way. He has a genuine passion for dogs and is always willing to help you succeed. I’ll be working with my dogs between sessions and I’ll text Fernando with a question or send him a video of them working and he responds immediately almost every time. He gives us feedback and suggestions on how we can be better for our dogs. I highly recommend TwoTailsTraining for anyone who is serious about training their dog.

You should be calling them yesterday. Complete turn around in just an hour because they taught ME how to communicate and understand my pup. It’s been a long 10+ years of owning a dog so I was relearning how to train since training has since been changed. I literally could not walk my dog or take him anywhere because he was way too excited to meet people and other dogs! In two short weeks the relationship between my dog and I has changed drastically thanks to the help of Two Tails and now I am able to walk my puppy plus three children with me! I can’t thank them enough for turning me into a great dog owner. 10/10 would recommend.

Fernando and Courtney are so awesome!! They're always professional yet calm and laid back. They're great at letting both my pup and I know when we're miscommunicating and they really put the training into my hands. Could not recommend highly enough!! The passion for the dogs is unbeatable. The one-on-one training is invaluable. They went out of their way to learn unique tactics to train my fur baby and genuinely care. And clearly, they can handle any style of training. I adopted a terrified, beaten Lab with severe PTSD from his previous life. I had him for 6 months before I saw his tail raise for the first time and he started trusting me. I spent the next two years socializing him, training him, and encouraging him. My sweet pup made worlds of progress, but would still jump at the slightest sudden sounds or movements, and was glued to my heel. I knew I couldn't further his progress without help. Bear was Fernando's first PTSD severe case that required training beyond obedience. Fern went out of his way to learn unique techniques and acquire specific training in order to help Bear. After our initial consultation, I received "homework" for behaviour while at home. Our first legitimate training session, Fernando spent two hours working with Bear while I sat to the side. We needed to break his attachment to me, build confidence and trust, and show him it's ok to actually be a dog! After the very first session I saw WORLDS of improvement. I am so happy to say that Bear now loves being a dog, he likes strangers, and no longer jumps at every sudden sound. I have a healthy, functional, PTSD-recovered dog thanks to Two Tails Training.

Fernando and Courtney, are the absolute BEST! We had a human aggressive German Shepherd who would lunge/bark at people, dogs, cars, and pretty much anything that moved or made a sound, but after just four sessions with Two Tails our girl is a completely different dog. We can now walk her downtown with her attention completely on us and not her surroundings. Fernando is truly a dog whisperer. He understands dogs behaviors and how to effectively communicate with them. He uses a combination of positive and negative reinforcement that makes sense to dogs. He has relieved so much anxiety from our dog's life and ours as well.
