Two Dads Dog Training

Michael helped us out via the 90 minute essentials training session and our 6 month old Juniper is responding wonderfully! We love that she enjoys training and the (wholly positive and non-aversive) process of learning with us, and the tips, structure, and guidance helped us correct some of the sloppiness and errors we were making as owners during training. We are starting her official training plan today, but even in the few days between the training session and now, Juniper is responding reliably to sit, leave it, jumping/barking less at sounds and other things out the window and in the environment, confidently jumping into the car with an up command, and even getting the basics of heel while on walks! Two Dads and a Dog will absolutely be our training resource as she grows up and we progress towards our goal of being a completely safe, confident, happy, off leash family member :)

Two Dads and a Dog did it again! We took puppy one and it helped immensely. When our pup, Maisie, started to be reactive on walks we knew who to turn to. Luis and Michael made an overwhelming situation seem totally manageable. They taught us more about our pup’s cues and how to curb the reactions on walks. They helped our pup, as well as, kindly corrected how we might be alerting our dog and adding to the situation. The progress we made in four classes is all owed to Two Dads and a Dog. We can’t wait to see how she can is as we continue using the skills we were taught.

From early on I thought I could do without dog trainers as I was confident in my own abilities. I listened to podcasts, read books, and spent countless hours working with my pup. However, once it became clear that our pup was struggling with anxiety and fear despite my best efforts, I reached out to Michael and Luis. I am so grateful that I did! There are some things that podcasts and books cannot teach you and I have nothing but praise and gratitude for Luis and Michael. They are patient, kind, generous, and knowledgable dog trainers. They were gracious with my own mistakes as a owner and gave me some new strategies to help our dog grow.
