Turn Around Dogs Behavior &Training

Pete and Amber did a great job with our dog, Patty. We adopted Patty very recently and she has been a handful as she was very neglected early in her life. She had a lot of issues -- no basic commands, no recall, quite a bit of reactivity to other dogs, and very difficult on a leash -- we didn't feel we could tackle all of these on our own. Turn Dogs Around has made a huge difference after a board-and-train session. Patty is doing better in every area, and Pete and Amber gave us the skills and practice to keep her improving. We are also glad to know we can look to them throughout Patty's life for more help.

We hired Amber and Pete after an unfortunate incident where our 2 dogs did not listen to commands. After the in-home consultation we decided to do home training as opposed to send off/board training. We hired them because they immediately seemed knowledgeable and understanding to our situation, as well as prepared to address any behavior we wanted to modify. Over 4 sessions we addressed recall, friendly greeting, leash walking, sit/stays, and barrier aggression (barking thru a fence at other dogs/people). After the first session we saw improvement, our dogs seemed to follow our commands a lot better. “Friendly greeting” training is life changing! This is when you teach your dog to sit and stay on a spot when people come to your door- as opposed to barking or crowding the visitors. Overall very happy with how our dogs behave now, we have the tools and instructions to keep improving!
