While she certainly brings her “standard” curriculum, she more importantly builds a unique plan for your dog and for you that addresses the things that are specific to your dog’s behavior and your priorities. With an excellent blend of one-on-one time with the dog along with specific training that includes you, she quickly ingrains skills and behaviors that address the primary areas you want addressed.

We are so grateful we found Rebecca with Trusty Dog Training. We chose her because we were looking for a more personal, non-franchise training experience where our dog, Nala, would have a little more one on one training and a personalized approach. Rebecca took the time to understand Nala's personality, along with how they interact with the other animals in our home dynamic, and what we were realistically hoping to improve.
Nala was a brand new street find for us. She was about 12 weeks old when we started her training. She had the classic puppy energy and not sure how to channel it. She was very jealous when other dogs had toys, she thought the kitchen counter was her personal snack plate, she treated the cat like a chew toy, and she was starting to pick up some bad habits from our other dogs with reacting at the door and people walking by. Walks were stressful, and we weren’t always confident in how to respond in certain situations.
Now, life with Nala feels completely different. She comes to you when you call her, she has confidence in knowing what she should and shouldn't be doing. She's resigned herself to eating out of her bowl vs the kitchen counter. Walks are calmer, we feel more in control, and most importantly, we understand her better.
The training wasn’t just about obedience commands it was about communication and consistency and understanding what Nala's feelings might be on situations. That made all the difference.
I would absolutely recommend Rebecca to anyone who wants thoughtful, effective training that actually works in real life, not just in a controlled environment. If you’re on the fence about enrolling, I’d say this: the investment in training pays off every single day you live with your dog. Rebecca will also take time to come and meet with you at your home before hand to make sure everyone thinks is comfortable with the partnership.

Several weeks after I brought Lucy home, I was at my limit. Her mouthy behavior was at a level that I had never experienced with a puppy before. I did my research, I tried several approaches, and reached the conclusion that I might be out of my depth with this puppy. I found Rebecca and Trusty Dog Training on Reddit and filled out an inquiry late one night. Rebecca responded immediately to ask for some additional information and humorously informed me that most new puppy parents reach out late at night. Throughout our entire engagement, Rebecca set clear expectations, offered education and support, and adapted to Lucy’s (and my own) needs. Lucy absolutely loved her. The service that Rebecca provided set us up to confidently navigate puppyhood, adolescence, and beyond. I cannot recommend Trusty Dog Training enough.
