Before I found Jenavie, I had trouble leaving my 2 year old Corgi with anyone else in fear of her training regressing/ not improving. Upon our first consultation, Jenavie's methodology, clear communication and past clients' progress made it clear to me that she was going to be the one I could entrust my dog to. This past January, Bubble (our dog) did a 4 week Board and Train with Jenavie. Her primary focus was e collar training, building general confidence, and get more comfortable with the subway as this was a niche problem but one that greatly impacted our lives before. Bubble used to shake in fear while on the subway, and her fear made it difficult for us to take her places that she would otherwise enjoy. Since coming home, Bubble's confidence has grown visibly. She now enjoys subway rides, loves to go to coffee shops with me, settles way more easily while in public places, and just generally handles human and animal interactions calmly. She is truly a joy to be around and this is all thanks to Jenavie. I feel a huge sense of relief to have found Jenavie, and will continue sending Bubble back to her whenever we go on vacation, as I know that Bubble will enjoy her time while we are away enjoying ours :) In short, if you are looking for a detailed oriented, reliable and effective trainer, you have found the one.

We can not say enough good things about TRUE-K9!! We have been in contact with Jenavie prior to getting our puppy Leia. Jenavie and her dog Shay share an amazing bond and we feel that it is very important to look into your dog trainer's relationship with their own animals prior to selecting a trainer. Jenavie has worked with us since day 1. On top of the in-person home and outdoor sessions we have done, Jenavie is extremely responsive to text messages and encourages us to send video updates of our progress at home. She also answers random health and diet questions that we might have. Leia has worked with Jenavie since she was about 2 months old for basic training with the goal of using an e-collar. Without the help from Jenavie - we would have absolutely no clue where to start. She is super creative and genuinely wants ALL of her clients to succeed. I found Jenavie on Instagram and after watching her videos and reading her posts, I reached out to her because I was so lost with how to help my almost 2 year old Corgi, Joey. Joey developed severe anxiety during the summer and it made our daily life difficult. He would have a full blown panic attack outside, even when there were no specific triggers. He would start to pull and run in the direction of our home, his eyes would turn red and he would visibly look distressed. I worried about leaving him alone when i needed to step out (he’s crate trained but started biting his paws intensely when i would leave), he was scared to go on walks beyond our building, and would shake and tremble if we went anywhere. We’ve done training sessions with a different trainer when he was about one year old for dog reactivity and was mostly based on counter conditioning and positive reinforcement. It helped but once his severe anxiety in the summer started, my husband and I were at a loss with how to help Joey. I’m so thankful we found Jenavie - she’s so kind and patient. She was structured and sweet with Joey, which is definitely what he needed. She taught him how to be a more confident dog and taught us how to better handle his anxiety and work with him throughout the day. Due to the nature of his anxiety, we only did a 3 week board and train but do plan on continuing training sessions with Jenavie in a few months. During the board and train, Jenavie kept us updated on how Joey was doing and answered any questions or concerns we had during that time. Now, we’re able to take Joey to places we never were able to before, like crowded areas in Central Park, outdoor dining, etc. Jenavie has definitely helped Joey (and us) be able to live a more fulfilling life and have the tools to be able to handle his anxiety as best as we can. Would HIGHLY recommend her as a trainer!! She’s the best.
