My sweet aussie Taika was having a tough time adjusting after our recent move. He developed a lot of anxiety around new people coming to the house, which led to jumping on visitors and barking.. A LOT. I booked a consult with Heidi, and she immediately gave us simple, doable suggestions to try. Honestly, I was shocked at how quickly we saw results once I started implementing what Heidi recommended. What I appreciate most about Heidi is how thorough she is. She doesn’t expect you to remember every detail in the moment - her follow-up notes and reminders made it so much easier to keep practicing on my own. That extra support made a huge difference for us. Thanks to Heidi’s guidance, Taika is calmer and way happier when guests come over now and I can relax and actually hang out with my guests. Olive and I cannot recommend Heidi enough! Olive is a super smart, driven girl and Heidi was able to channel her smarts into tools to help us with reactivity on walks, demand behavior, and relaxation. We both look forward to our sessions and get so much out of our time together. Heidi even provides videos, visuals, and check ins to set us up for success. We adopted a 14 month old chocolate lab, Maple, at the end of Feb. She had more behavioral issues than we realized. Fortunately, another trainer referred us to Heidi because he thought Maple's issues were more behavioral. She has helped us tremendously. She was extremely professional and patient. She helped us problem solve and work through several issues including separation anxiety and sleep. If it didn't work, she continued to provide support and further advice. She followed up each session with a summary and handouts for review. She offered website links to treats, chews, etc. She also followed up with emails between sessions to check in. We still have some work to do, but we have come a long way thanks to Heidi!
