Thank you so much for your kind words. Murphy will always be one of my favorites — a big, joyful Bernedoodle with the same good heart and spirit as Troubles. The last time I saw him, he had grown huge — nearly 50 pounds bigger — and came racing up to me in the park. Your household had one of the more complex pack dynamics I’ve seen — an older Great Pyrenees, a young Great Dane, two cautious pit mixes, and a new pit mix from NYC who, surprisingly, was the easiest of the bunch. Packs like that take real time, patience, and a lot of clarity.<br><br>With groups like yours, the key is always the same: give dogs praise for the *right* choices, not attention for the wrong ones. That’s how they learn what their real job is. Kinsley and your whole family did an excellent job staying consistent, learning the strategy, and keeping the purpose in mind. Going from daily fights to once every several weeks is real progress, and it’s a credit to the work you’ve put in.<br><br>There will always be moments when they “test” the boundaries a bit. Keep the loop leash nearby and open; you can slip it on one of them if needed, and that visual alone often settles both dogs right away. Every few weeks, a little tune-up with the techniques you already have — some placement work and footwork — will keep everything sharp.<br><br>At my house, Bodhi and Pops always try to turn the doorway into a game. I just change the outcome: sometimes one goes first, sometimes the other. Choosing the order yourself and rewarding the behavior you want will help your two as well.<br><br>You’re doing great — keep up the good work, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything along the way.<br><br>— William<br>
