Troubled to Trained

I met Shane under unusual circumstances at our local mall when I had stumbled upon a stray parakeet in the parking lot, and Shane graciously offered to help. While I don't have any firsthand experience with Shane's skills and care for dogs, he clearly had a very kind heart toward this lost little bird. Instead of just heading to his car and leaving, he drove to a nearby pet store and purchased a cage and all the supplies needed to take the bird home. He was gentle and patient in handling the little bird. He had already sent out a post on social media to look for its owners, and many people offered to adopt the little guy if its owners can't be found. So grateful that Shane took the time, expense, and effort to save this sweet little creature. What a blessing he is!

We adopted a little female Pitt, Ember, to be a companion to our Zena, Pitt/Rottie mix. Our dogs became a problem when both dogs displayed ‘alpha’ personalities and there was aggressive behavior as we tried to let them mingle! After many strong referrals. I called Shane Hawkins & booked an appointment. Shane is absolutely amazing with his knowledge, patience and skill in handling negative behaviors with dogs. Shane spent an hour & a half educating us on techniques and skills to implement with our dogs. He also worked directly with both dogs to show us how to work with them to eventually allow them to adjust to each other and help us create a happy home for all! I waited several weeks to post this review because I wanted to make sure these techniques and skills would be successful. Our ‘happy’ home is still a work in progress, but we are leaps & bounds ahead of what was! We are working with our ‘girls’ several times a day and there is remarkable progress! I can’t thank Shane enough. He is an exceptional trainer! I highly recommend him to anyone! Thank you, Shane!!
