Our puppy truly excelled through Triumph K9! The absolute best part of our 12 sessions was learning how to handle him myself. Your dog picks up on your exact cues, and Eddie excels at helping the human/dog relationship develop by teaching you how to be a confident leader. Many people worry that setting boundaries will ruin their relationship with their dog, but it actually improves it! Dogs are looking for confident leadership, and that is exactly what Eddie instilled in me. One of the greatest lessons he taught me is that a calm handler makes for a calm dog—they mirror your energy completely. Start every lesson with a calm dog and work by taking things step by step. Eddie helps you understand that dogs are matter-of-fact: you teach them, practice consistently, and hold them accountable. You truly get out of training what you put into it. Eddie uses balanced training methods, and his insights are completely invaluable. He is incredibly skilled at evaluating human handling and teaching you how to be better. During our sessions, some of the most important things he taught us were: How to properly use leash pressure when needed to guide and control our puppy. How to build genuine engagement so our puppy chooses to focus on us over distractions. How to perfect the recall so he comes back reliably every time. How to titrate your training. Your dog may master a skill in a given environment but may need more direction in a new setting with increased distractions. Training is ongoing. We are currently working to finish preparing him for his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test, and thanks to Eddie, I feel more than confident in exactly how to get him ready for it. Eddie is also the ultimate professional. He was always deeply respectful of our time—always arriving right on schedule and confirming every single meeting on the morning of. He is also always available by text and phone for ongoing support. Beyond his incredible skill, Eddie is incredibly warm and approachable. By the end of our 12 weeks, our puppy completely knew who "Uncle Eddie" was and was always so excited to see him. The real-world proof of his training is everywhere. Our puppy has incredible impulse control; he can maintain a down-stay across different places and environments while I drop treats 10 feet away, and he won't budge until his release cue. He stopped reacting to other dogs and people entirely. His door manners are flawless—he sits, makes eye contact, and waits for his "free" cue before taking a single step. I can even bounce his favorite toys right in front of him and he won't break position. We can't recommend Eddie and Triumph K9 enough! Thank you so much, Eddie!

We recently used Triumph K9 board-and-train program for our 3-month-old Cane Corso puppy, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, communication was excellent. We had the most amazing experience with Eddie and Shannon, I spoke with her on the phone to discuss a consultation and felt very at ease with meeting them to discuss obedience training. As new dog owners we didn't have much confidence in what we were doing, but knew we wanted a companion we were comfortable taking places with us. Eddie has made it very easy to understand the concept behind why we do what we do during training which, which has helped us feel confident that we could train her for most situations. He was able to help us move through some reactivity at the dog park as well as working on other public situations to ensure that we had the tools to bring her along with us to stores that allow pets and friends' houses without worry!
