Tri-State Canine Obedience

Mike is awesome! We got his reference from a friend as a trust worthy place for training , boarding. When we took Freida for training, she had a lot of behavioral issues. We were almost convinced that she is never getting any better. Mike spent a lot of time explaining how to approach training, what we have been doing wrong. Result - Freida is a completely different dog now. Her destructive behavior is completely gone! She is very clam and is much much better with our other 2 cats. I am so glad that we came to Mike. Also - we have tried other boarding services ( PetSmart, couple of other places).. but Freida came back sick, very scared. With Mike- it was completely different. She came back all chirpy, healthy!

Mike came to my house to help me with my 11 week old Golden Retriever puppy. I also enrolled her in puppy kindergarten class, and was extremely pleased with everything my puppy learned. She's now 5 months old, and I've decided to do boarding and training with Mike. This is my first experience with a big, energetic dog and just want to give her the best life possible. You can tell that Mike genuinely cares about ALL dogs and is passionate and extremely knowledgeable about his work.

I have a 3 year old Goldendoodle rescue that was dumped and has (had) severe separation anxiety. We had tried everything and were ready to give up. Our doodle could open doors to our home and escape, he couldn't be crated and has even jumped out of windows. We lived our life in shifts as we realized he just couldn't be left alone. We were referred to Mike and within 10 weeks our lives have changed. We can now not only leave for 3,4 and once even 5 hours and we don't even have to crate him. Kudos to Mike and his excellent ability to teach and educate us and give us normacly back. 100 perecent recomment Tri-State Canine Obedience!!

Mike Dixon is an excellent dog trainer. We started with private sessions for a few behavioral issues and basic commands, and the progress was amazing after just a couple of sessions. We ended up enrolling in Advanced Obedience class, Therapy Dog prep, and even Off-Leash class — something I truly never thought my beagles could be trusted with. But Mike’s techniques work, and our dogs are doing very well off leash. You will have homework, but Mike explains everything clearly and is always happy to answer questions. If you put in the time, the results are amazing. Our dogs are a joy to be around now, their recall is much improved, they walk nicely on a leash—and we get comments all the time about how well behaved they are. Highly recommend Mike — he has made life better for us and our dogs!

Best dog training in the city of Cincinnati! Mike Dixon is a pro and got our reactive pitbull / staffordshire mix dog Tank back on track within 3 sessions of working with him. Mike is reasonable and excellent to work with. He has over 25 years of dog training working with reactive dogs, aggressive dogs, and normal dog training as well.
