Training with Leah

I’ve never had a dog before in my life so taking home a rescue right before Christmas was definitely nerve wracking. Leah helped me and my husband understand the best ways to help Joni get acclimated with being a city dog, and was so good at keeping her breed in mind when she was explaining why Joni was doing what she was doing (nipping our ankles). Leah was so available to us when we needed a little extra help along the way - and was so clear that when we thought Joni was taking some backward steps, that wasn’t the case at all and that she was just in fact testing some of our boundaries. We’re 3 months in with our Joni girl and can’t wait to continue learning from all of the incredible knowledge Leah has to share with us.

Leah has been the single most helpful person in our journey with Toto. We brought home a rescue pup and I was honestly overwhelmed at first, especially around crate training and teaching him how to be alone. Leah has been an amazing partner through all of it, and her guidance is the only thing that’s helped Toto and us moved us forward. She gave me clear, practical, step-by-step direction that actually worked, and she was so available, kind and supportive when I was in the thick of it. She taught me exactly how to leave him in the crate while I’m in another room and gradually increase distance, and how to handle “negotiating” crate time so he learns to stay settled until it’s time to come out. Because of Leah, I feel like I finally have a plan I trust, and Toto has made real progress! We honestly can't recommend Leah enough, she has been a lifesaver!

Have done 3 sessions with Leah for my 3 month golden and she has been extremely helpful! He is a stubborn walker and she has taught us many tricks and signs to keep him going. He is also very nippy which is normal for a puppy, she has taught us a bunch of tricks that we have been teaching him to switch his mind into learning mode to calm him down as he cannot calm himself down yet. We are still just at the beginning of his training but we are thrilled with all we have learned and we cannot wait to continue working with Leah! Highly reccomend her and her services!

Leah is amazing with our dog! She has helped so much with leash training—our pup is a completely different dog now. What we love most is that Leah doesn’t just train the dog, she also takes the time to teach us as owners so we can reinforce everything at home. As a new dog owner, her guidance has been invaluable, and even my fiancé, who has had dogs his whole life, has learned a lot from her. She’s incredibly patient, dedicated, and always goes the extra mile. We couldn’t recommend her more!
