No. We do not use shock collars, e-collars, or any form of electronic stimulation. We understand their place but we don't recommend using them. Our philosophy is rooted in trust, communication and building connection, not control through discomfort.

I know I posted a review before, but I need to think Tyler again because without his nutrition guidance that we’ve been able to use with our senior dog, he wouldn’t have bounced back from an injury in two weeks for a 14 year-old large breed senior on borrowed time. In fact, I don’t know how much more time we’re gonna borrow, but it’s gonna be a lot more than we thought two months ago. He is running, chasing his brothers, and overall, he is a boss. For a dog of his age and size, having a hip flexor injury should’ve taken weeks. He not only recovered, but he’s better than he ever was at this age. Thank you again!

Tyler is a raw, flesh and bone (marrow) kind of guy, who is an amazingly experienced and successful trainer and person! He spent the time (5 hours!!!) teaching us how to help our pup, Shiloh (shepadoodle) be a good girl, as well as his passion for bio nutrition, and the psychology that plays the majority role in training. No judgements. No BS. He came to us in OUR home, with his tools of organic treats, compassion, and empathy, and helped us feel comfortable to be ourselves in this process. He touched our hearts with his relational approach, and obvious love for fur babies (doodles!!) 🐶 . But he captured our hearts with his genuine desire for OUR success! His perspective taught us how and why our pup does what she does; what she’s expecting from us; and what we can expect from her. His practice of using the already abundant resource, of chaos ( i.e. outside of Costco ; Home Depot on a Saturday morning), to train infant furballs, to rely on us, through connection, is nothing short of genius! Reward the good, redirect the “other” behaviors. Starting with simple hand commands, no words necessary 🤐! Our pup’s organic makeup (psychology) is basic and instinctual….food. Food. FOOD! Keeping it positive and simple, takes away the negative emotional responses to “puppy-cidents ”, from frustrating and tripping us up. The knowledge of puppy psychology, has allowed us to be present & accountable. Especially since it’s OUR responsibility, to provide safety & structure, of what we bring into our world. Thank you Tyler, for creating a training experience that’s relational, and not just transactional🥹. We didn’t just get a new trainer, we got a new bff! We Look forward to your new puppy/dog products, because we know that everything in them is RAW!!! 🥩

Shortly after bringing him home, we scheduled a consultation with Tyler to help with some barking and nervousness around new people. We entertain often and wanted to set our new pup up for success when guests visit.
Tyler is incredibly knowledgeable and has a deep understanding of dog behavior. He gave us practical tools and clear guidance to help our little guy build confidence. Within just a few weeks, we noticed a huge improvement in his barking and fearful/aggressive behavior toward visitors!
We’re now working with Tyler again in 1:1 sessions to address some resource guarding, and once again he’s provided a thoughtful plan that’s already making a difference. We really appreciate how patient, thorough, and intentional Tyler is during every session. He takes the time to get to know the dogs, listen to our concerns, and tailor his approach to our specific needs.
We can’t recommend Training That Lasts highly enough! Tyler has been such a great partner in helping our pups (and us!).
