It is a different approach than we have been previously educated on and it is too soon after our initial session to understand how we can change our practices and the results of his methods.

When should I start training my puppy?
Before the bad habits start. What kind of training do you offer?
We offer Behavioral Consultations as a starting point to equip you with the tools you need to build a bond while learning to communicate together. We also offer puppy development, group sessions, structured walks, board-and-training, and 1 on 1 Training sessions. Do you use shock collars?
No. We do not use shock collars, e-collars, or any form of electronic stimulation. We understand their place but we don't recommend using them. Our philosophy is rooted in trust, communication and building connection, not control through discomfort.

I knew this was something we needed help with and called around for trainers, I am so thankful for Dave who took my call and instantly knew this was the place I wanted to explore. Really took the time to learn about our situation, pricing was great and availability same week to come out. Tyler came out and after 3 hours there were improvements. Not kidding, this company knows the business, has the passion & drive and won us over. We will be continuing services with them and can’t want to see changes in our puppy so he can settle in his new forever home and be at peace in the loving home we have for him. I’m sure I’ll post again as we continue through growth/ progress.

Got into the lessons right away, his structure was very organic and clearly communicated. A method of training them properly so that you don’t have to scold them or punish them. Only thing that I didn’t fully grasp was a timeline of how long these lessons should be enforced. And training with lots of treats seems concerning to me because then the puppy is constantly food crazy with the smells of treats around 24/7, kind of a double edge sword.

We were interested in coaching/advising us (humans) versus just having a trainer take over. Tyler was very observant with how my family handled training our GSD and gave us pointers. Tyler is full of knowledge and insigh with dog nutrition. My family and I gained a lot from Tyler and changed up our training routine and saw a positive outcome in just a day. We met with Tyler yesterday and I can already see a difference in my dogs behavior by implementing some of the training tips he taught us! The fact that he comes to the house for a behavior assessment is so useful because he is able to assess each individual dog and each individual situation and give tips based off of that. My puppy is pretty nervous around new people (something we are working on) and he knew right away what to do to get him to feel more comfortable and relaxed with a stranger in the house. He was also really great in getting my 5 y/o involved in the training (and being patient with her while she wanted to chat his ear off haha) and I liked how he used analogies that made it easy for both of us to understand how a dogs brain works. I really like how his focus is on positive reinforcement and building a trusting relationship with your dog. Offering the free pack walks on Wednesdays shows me he truly cares about the success of his clients and wants them to continue implementing what he has taught beyond the consultation. I can tell he has a lot of passion for what he does and is super knowledgeable. We are really looking forward to starting our group training and I can't wait to see the progress my boy makes!
