Train Your Pup

Run by the coolest and kindest people. Doggo had to relearn how to play with other dogs, and the trainers were very kind and calm and sensitive to her needs. As she improved, we added training to keep her mind active. The groomer also makes sure that dogs are kept physically and emotionally safe during grooming. Doggo goes 1-2 days/week for doggy daycare and gets groomed about once a month. Owner/trainer also came to my home for personal training to help with leash skills and socialization. I always ask a lot of questions, and everyone is patient, kind, and answers thoughtfully. You will get gently teased from time to time, but it always comes from a place of goodwill. To be honest, I like that personal touch.

I love this place! I take both of my dogs to daycare here and have done training classes through two of the instructors. Everyone is friendly and so wonderful to work with. They really make you feel welcome and work with your dog in the areas you need help with. The classes are also geared toward what you need. Both instructors asked me what I wanted to get out of the class and then worked with me on those specific things.

Train Your Pup is the ONLY place I will take my dog. I just moved to Ohio and my Weimaraner previously stayed at home with family while I worked. Since I did not have any family around anymore I decided to look into doggy day care. I searched for months to find a place and hated every single one! I stumbled across Train Your Pup and I could not be more thankful!! They send videos, pictures and report cards home to keep you updated on your dog. They are flexible with hours and will stay late if you are in a bind. Weimaraner’s have tons of energy and my dog comes home exhausted every time I take him there. If you are as crazy as I am about my dog this is definitely the place for you!

It was fantastic to find a training center that emphasized positive reinforcement when we got our rescue puppy. We've taken our other dogs to may different obedience centers, but the trainers at Train Your Pup -- particularly Danielle and Ashley -- and their whole philosophy of having fun and building rapport between you and your dog are outstanding. Class sizes are small and the environment is incredibly calm and supportive. We were so happy with the training that now we're regulars at their daycare. It's been wonderful for our dog's socialization and confidence -- he loves it and so do we. He comes home thoroughly exhaustive and happy. I can't recommend this place highly enough!
