Torbel's Canine Connection

We completed the puppy class which was six weeks long. Our beagle learned sit, down, stand, puppy version of stay, and made progress with loose leash walking. I liked that aside from these basic commands Yolanda takes time to talk about why dogs act certain ways and explains their behaviors as well. She also helped with recommendations on potty training and working with our puppies behavior toward our senior dog as well. I would definitely recommend this class. We are going to also take the next class as well for basic behavior.

We brought our new dog in to get assessed and to get some basic training instruction for us as new dog parents. Yolanda was clear, thorough, and very honest (in a good way) with us about where she felt he was and what he needed. She took the time to educate us and walk us through so tactics to help him succeed as a new dog in new environments. Her pricing is more than fair (we took a private) and she took the time to make sure we addressed all our concerns.

Yolanda is an excellent trainer with years of experience building relationships between dogs and humans. Here you will not find primitive methods of scaring your dog into subservience. At torbels, you can expect to learn more about dogs, and why they do what they do. Yolanda can help you learn how to redirect unwanted behaviors and also help you understand why they happen. Yolanda can help you give your dogs structure, while also building an exciting training experience. My two youngest dogs have attended classes at torbels, and I couldn't be more pleased. My incredibly stubborn, nose driven dog now has manners. I don't have to worry about her bolting out a door, and she happily goes to her kennel when asked. I did nosework with my high energy lab, and she did excellent with yolandas help! She has grown in skill since we started, and she also gets lots of stimulation from class and sleeps well when she gets home. Yolanda has always been very easy to work with and eager to answer questions. Both of my dogs love Yolanda and she is very kind and loves on them in a way you can tell she adores all dogs. Yolanda helped me build a great training experience for both of my dogs and both get very excited to go to class. I always recommend her to anyone who needs a trainer, or something to occupy their high energy dog.

I like the training here. After I brought my puppy home I realized that his personality was very difficult for me to handle. I felt I had made a big mistake and wanted to return him to the breeder. After talking with Yolanda I decided to give her a try. She taught me how to train him in the way best for him using a calm demeanor and with understanding. Beau and I now have a very strong connection and I’m so happy to have him in my life. Thank you Yolanda.☺️
