Topline Canine

Topline K9 was an incredible experience for both my dog, Harlan, and me! Harlyn, a one year-old Shepherd mix, completed their two week Boot Camp program to improve her recall and impulse control. While she’s always been sweet and smart, she needed extra guidance and topline k9 delivered. The Team took amazing care of her, kept me updated throughout the process, and tailored their training to meet our specific goals. Since completed the program, Harlyn is more focused, making our hikes safer and more enjoyable. She even seems to love training more than before! I highly recommend topline canine to anyone looking for expert, comprehensive trainers. They truly understand each dog’s, unique personality, and they are dedicated to helping both pets and their owners succeed. Their facility is beautiful, and I’m so grateful for their hard work and dedication!

I took two of my dogs to Topline K9. One is a 120lb Newfoundland 16 month old puppy. We rescued her and from what we could guess, she was an outside dog. She had NO manners. The other is our older Bassett Hound Chihuahua mix. She would pull on walks and bark at people and go crazy if a bike passed. She did not like the new puppy which caused problems. Both of them went to be trained. Megan and Stephanie work miracles. Both dogs are a joy to take on walks and now they are best friends. The Newfie is well behaved. I can’t recommend Topline canine enough!

We adopted Scout from a New Mexico shelter. He was terribly reactive, scared of other dogs and people and sometimes aggressive towards us. We enrolled Scout in the 15 day board and train program and couldn’t be more thrilled with the process and the outcome. We met with a trainer halfway through Scout’s training and learned to use the training methods. Then we had another session before he came home with us and a personal session at home. Scout has truly changed into a ‘social butterfly’! He loves going to the dog park and meeting other dogs and people. He walks well on his leash, is curious and smart, and the ‘bestest boy’ ever! My puppy and I had a one-off training session with Stephanie back in April 2024 and it was great! The goal was to learn about how introduce/socialize my 3-month-old Havanese puppy, Bobby, to other dogs. Stephanie was super helpful and kind. We met at a public park in Sedona. First she talked to me while observing Bobby's behavior. Then she gentled introduced a dog she brought with her to Bobby, while giving me a lot of tips on how to read Bobby's body language and how to make it a positive experience for Bobby. She also taught me what to never do, and what to do in special situations. The cost of the session was not cheap, but I can say it was well worth due to her experience and teaching style. I still apply what I learned to this day, so it was very valuable for Bobby and I.
