I booked an appointment last year with Audrey for my 2 year old Border Collie, Sumo. He is the forth Border Collie that we've owned, so we know the breed well. However, I was having quite a few problems with him. I would describe him as just generally naughty and out of control! I didn't take him places often because he acted like such a jerk it was embarrassing and a hassel. I was very frustrated and needed help. From the first training appointment we had with Audrey I knew she was going to be able to help us. She was wonderful with Sumo. She was kind, but firm and he listened. She was also able to speak to me and explain why he was acting the way that he was, and how we were going to fix it. She didn't start by giving me a list of things to do, or insisting that I spend hours working with him. I have two young children so she understood that I wasn't going to be able to spend hours training him. She told me to work with him 10-15 min a day and I could break it up if I needed to. She gave me some simple homework and told me to be consistent. It was amazing how much he learned between one training appointment to the next. Sumo has changed so much over the last year thanks to the tools and training Audrey has given us both. He has become a different dog and is now a part of the family, rather than a menace to the family. I'm so very grateful for Audrey and her approach to training. She taught me as the owner to train my own dog and I now have a strong bond with him. I'm sure it would have been so much easier for her to train him for me. But, teaching me to train him fixed the problems that WE were having, and I know that I am capable of fixing problems that come up in the future because I now have the training to do so. Thank you Audrey I can now enjoy my dog!

We found Audrey through a neighbor who highly recommended her. Our 8 month old Cairn Terrier had been described by another trainer as “quite a handful, a runner and an extreme flight risk”. She was all of those things. We really needed help. Audrey spent the time to teach us how to change how we interacted with Gracie. We started our journey in “boot camp” and it really made all the difference. It is a lot of work, but to see the difference it has made in our lives and in Gracie’s makes it so worth it. Today Gracie is calmer, and able to follow the new rules almost all the time. She will always be excited to see people but she is able to calm herself and be part of our family in a much happier and safer way. We can’t recommend Top Dog K9 Training enough.

Top Dog K9 training is exceptional. I am an experienced dog owner who has trained many dogs over 25 years and never had a puppy/adolescent as challenging as my Rhody(now 2). Rhody was anxious and hyper vigilant and was becoming reactive in adolescence after a challenging move for our family from a suburban environment to a new rural home. Audrey helped us navigate and work through our many new challenges(so many little critters and new people!). Audrey taught us the tools to manage any new curve that comes Rhody’s way with confidence. Rhody is now much more relaxed and comfortable with her new environs. I highly recommend Audrey and Top Dog K9 training.
