My family has spent so much time here over the years that we jokingly refer to this place as our second home. Not only do our dogs LOVE Angela and Drake and their staff, but my entire family does, too. So much so, my five year old now wants to be a dog trainer when he grows up, “Just like Mr. Drake.” The amount of time they have dedicated to our pups is truly remarkable and so appreciated. I don’t know when they sleep or have “time off” but we are forever grateful for them. To top it off, they are simply wonderful people who truly have the hearts for helping others. You won’t regret taking your pups here 🐾❤️

Not long ago, I spoke Angela over the phone to discuss some things I wanted to do with my dog. She advised me that she couldn't help me because my dog is a Rottweiler. Angela then added that she didn't think I could 'handle' a breed that big. Please remember that I have never met Angela in person. She made this assumption without meeting me or my dog in person. -- I have spent a hours and hours working with my dog and was simply looking for a group setting to work in. -- I have talked with several other people in the community who have had this same issues at Top Dog. Unless you have a doodle or precious pup, they're not going to help you.

I scheduled an assessment for my Yorkie that was having issues with guarding (me) and increased aggression. I tried various things at home to calm the barking when anyone went by, but all attempts were temporary. It has only been 5 days since the assessment, and I am happy to say that the barking has all but stopped as well as the aggressive behaviors. At the end of the session with Angela, I was given several techniques to do with my dog, and he responded that same evening at home. He just looked worried, wondering what was going on. I am looking forward to the return for the second session next week.

We are not clients yet, but I had to come straight to the reviews after spending nearly 20 minutes on the phone with Angela. I wanted to inquire about some training for our dog who is showing signs of aggression. She was very helpful with some suggestions we can work on in the home, beginning immediately to let him know his place in the home and not the dominant one he is attempting to claim. I was most impressed knowing that Angela is very busy doing what she does best, training dogs, but yet took time out of her schedule to actually speak with me at length and get me started in a better direction. I could hear in her voice a level of compassion and care for our situation, the boy needing help, as well as the other babies safety in our home. I will be back in touch as soon as he is neutered later this month to set up some training, which she also recommended to cut back on dominance, neutering should be a top priority “as of yesterday”. I just know that I’ve been concerned with making a right choice in picking a Trainer and after a phone consult she wasn’t at all paid for I now also know feel I will be making the best choice by choosing Top Dog for our training needs.
