Dana is a fantastic trainer and his methods have shown through to complete strangers when they meet our English Springer Spaniel. Lessons are geared to positive reinforcement and mental stimulation and your pet is treated respectfully as a part of Dana's own family. Dana takes the time to understand your pet, your home, and your goals and delivers on the areas most important to a happy and healthy relationship with your pet. Our pup was excited to "go to school" and to show off his new skills once he was home. Dana is flexible with scheduling and available for any and all questions. We look forward to doing business with Tooth & Claw in the future for boarding, daycare, or perhaps another pup.

Dana is amazing and his methods provide amazing results. Our 17 week border collie/australian shepherd/? mix is a sweet tempered but super high energy pup that we had managed to teach some basics, but wanted a pro to take her to the next level of obedience, control and family fun. Dana did an in house eval, our Baylee improved in the first 40 min and Dana's talent, magic dog-whispering and love for dogs was immediately apparent. She's been in his board/train 15 day program 11 days now and her calm approach and response to everything from heel to place to "relax" is absolutely incredible. We can't wait to get her back home to continue the training and have her be an integrated, loving part of our family - without non-stop angst, play-biting or craziness. If ever there was someone born to train and improve the life quality of dogs - and family's with dogs - Dana is that guy. Strange and tough times for everyone right now, but if you have a dog for which you need some help, I would suggest at least an evaluation to see how Dana immediately gets your dog to respond and react to anything in the right way. Then use one of his many flexible programs for in house, daily, board and train, etc. to work wonders with your dog. He works out of his house with a great backyard, so current social distancing is completely manageable, and you can take advantage of your probable extra time to enhance your relationship and improved fun time with your best friend. Seriously, this guy is a master, and usually booked months in advance. Take advantage of maybe some open slots now with an activity that doesn't break any social rules or add any family risk!

We are extremely happy with the training Bear (our 1 1/2 year old Coton) received from Dana Galligher at Tooth & Claw Canine Training. Bear was jumping on our guests, pulling us on walks and really just needed some basic obedience training. We received that and so much more! In six short sessions Dana taught Bear everything we wanted him to learn. He now heels on walks, will stay in a “place" until told otherwise and is very well behaved when people come over. That is on top of “sit”, “down” and a game that he loves. Bear was also able to spend time and socialize with other dogs while in Dana’s care. We receive compliments all of the time on how well behaved he is now and when out on walks around the neighborhood. Tooth & Claw has many options to meet your training needs and Dana was awesome to work with. He is friendly, reliable and has a great understanding of dog behavior. I would highly recommend Tooth & Claw Canine Training!

After moving to Columbus we were looking for someone to help our anxious dog Jackson. We had met with several trainers before finding Dana and we are so thankful for everything he has done. Jack is a nervous dog who struggles with new people and places. Dana has helped us boost his confidence, tuned up basic training and will be our go to for everything dog moving forward.
