To The Point Dog Training

I cannot sing high enough praises for Tayah and Bauwauhaus. I have a 2 year old Alaskan husky, bred for sledding and not a pet. He went through multiple homes, and was 10 minutes away from euthanasia at the shelter. He came to me a literal hot mess…anxious, jumping, pulling on his leash, escaping at every moment. As someone with chronic illness, I couldn’t handle it! So…it was time to call in the expert. I drove him from Utah to Washington, and in three weeks, Tayah turned him into a gentleman. Not just manageable, but obedient and no longer a danger to my health. He’s on his way to being a house dog, thanks to her. She’s a miracle worker with dogs, and I’m already planning to bring her my Siberian.

Tayah is an amazing trainer, she has helped my girl Stevie so much! Stevie had leash reactivity and a lot of nervousness around walking in our apartment hallways. Tayah was so patient in training ME to support Stevie. Stevie is doing amazing now, has gained a lot of confidence with the skills Tayah has had us work on, and leash reactivity has become minimal even in the intense hallway areas! I am so grateful to Tayah for the work she does. Stevie has a higher quality of life because of her!

We have two Labs, a 3-year old female and a 1-year old male. They are great dogs but we needed help especially with leash manners, excessive barking and management of nuisance behaviors like chewing. Prior to finding Bauwauhaus, we had tried puppy classes, individual training sessions and even attempted developing our own training plans based on the approximately one million books and websites we found on dog training. Unsurprisingly, without a clear and consistent approach, our efforts did not yield success and so Tayah took on the challenge with a 3-week board and train session with our dogs in December 2021. Tayah is very experienced and gave us not only the skills we needed to manage our dogs, but also the background and psychology behind the methods she uses for training. Having a full understanding of how and why her methods work is key to ensuring that everyone involved sticks with the program afterward. Her methods make sense and are easy to implement, and the results absolutely speak for themselves. We are absolutely amazed at the turnaround in their behavior and are so excited to experience the best our puppers have to offer. I would recommend Tayah and Bauwauhaus without reservation to anyone considering this option for training.
