Giving 3 stars because while their boarding seems fine, their grooming is not. I’ve had my dog stay here twice and he’s always been fine when I pick him up so I know the boarding service is good, but the last time I had him stay there I figured I might as well book a bath and brush out because he was due for one. When I picked him up he was still damp so he clearly was not dried properly. And when I smelled him, he didn’t smell like anything so I just thought they used fragrance free shampoo. But looking at his coat, it didn’t appear like it usually appears after he’s been bathed (really fluffy, shedding lots). Flash forward a few days after I picked him up and he’s constantly scratching. And his fur is super oily, which isn’t how it usually is after a bath. So I’m starting to suspect they just poured water on him and didn’t use any shampoo. Flash forward two weeks after picking him up and he’s got a hot spot on his back and upon closer inspection to his skin, he’s now got dandruff. So either they didn’t use shampoo or they didn’t rinse him properly. I’ve just now seen another review complaining about their grooming and the owners response was that they don’t have a fully functioning grooming salon. Okay, so don’t advertise grooming on your website and make people believe it’s a fully functioning groomer alongside their regular services? I had a lot of faith in them as a boarding service because a friend recommended them and after having my dog stay with them the first time I thought they were great! But I don’t believe I should have been charged $160 for boarding AND a bath when it doesn’t even seem like my dog was bathed.
