Tip Top K9 Troy

We hired a trainer from tip top k9 because our Newfoundland was aggressive in random situations and we wanted to manage him when he became triggered by things. They told us there’s no guarantee he wouldn’t be aggressive again which we appreciated because they were honest with us rather than promising us something they couldn’t. The training with misty went great and weve already seen a huge improvement in how he behaves and obeys commands. We’re looking forward to seeing her at the refresher sessions that start back up in the spring.

We recently took our dog to Tip Top K-9 and had a great experience. Although he’s a really sweet, smart 3 year old lab, we wanted to do some training to help improve his listening and attentiveness. After a week at the immersive boot camp, he came home showing an ability to listen to commands and instruction. The staff was very friendly and has the most responsive customer service I’ve ever seen. They give regular updates via text, call, and email so you’re always aware what’s going on.

High praise for this Tip Top K9. We have had dog training before and were disappointed with results. We got our first rescue dog in February 2025. By March we knew Cooper needed help. He was aggressive to everyone but us. We called Tip Top K9 and had a consult at our house where Rob met our crazy dog and said the could help. Within 3 visits Cooper was responding to commands in a way I didn’t think possible. Within 5 visits we were equipped with the tools to continue Coopers e collar training. We’ve even done off leash training with him since with great results. I like to say our incredible trainer Tony transformed Cooper into an awesome dog. Here we are 5 months down the road and Cooper gets better every day. Thank you Tony and Tip Top K9!

UPDATE: they did give me my money back in full after I had wrote the review and I was very pleased about that and appreciate it very much. It’s really unfortunate that I have to make this kind of review, but I figured it may help someone in the future. So I signed my dog Simba up because we have been dealing with Aggressive Resource guarding Behavior and going into it we told them that this was our main concern and the one reason we were seeking out help from a trainer. They kind of just told us what we wanted to hear. They did say that they could work on the aggression training with him, but it wasn’t a guarantee that it completely goes away as there’s no guarantee with That which is understandable But to tell us that they would be able to work on it with him and then not was very frustrating for us we spent $1500 on the package for Simba and throughout all five training one on one sessions The resource guardingIt was never worked on. Near the end of the training on session 5, I had asked our trainer if we could finally work on the resource guarding, and I had been the one to bring it up And she worked on it for Maybe five minutes at the most at the very end of the session. So I’m very disappointed to say the least and extremely sad and that now I have to Find a new home for my Simba Because we don’t have enough money now to get a different Trainer that actually could work on the resource guarding like we originally signed up for. I feel that they definitely did misrepresent what they could do for us and that let us to wasting so much money and a dog that wasn’t any better in the resource guarding behavior because it wasn’t worked on. If you are struggling with resource guarding behaviors with your dog and looking for training, this is not the place please reconsider
