Tip Top K9 Dog Training The Woodlands

I can't express how much I appreciate Mike and his company. My 1 year old half Jack Russell and half Basset Hound has the smarts of the Russell and stubbornness of the Basset. Mike listened to everything I wanted and was looking for in a trainer for my big man, Drax, at the first meeting. I needed help training Drax but didn't want him to not be who he is. After a week of boot camp and 2 hour training when Drax returned, he has been a great pup and now everyone can see his actual personality and how much of a loving sweetheart he is. I can't thank you guys enough!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Mikal (and Bear!) and I cannot recommend him highly enough! From the very first interaction, it was clear that Mikal was not only incredibly knowledgeable about dog training, but also genuinely passionate about helping both dogs and their owners learn to live together safely and with joy! During our private lessons with Mikal, he displayed an exceptional level of friendliness and helpfulness. He patiently listened to all of our concerns and questions, taking the time to fully understand Dakota's behavior and our training goals. Mikal's approach was always positive and encouraging, which created a comfortable and motivating learning environment for our whole family. What truly impressed me was how Mikal interacted with my teenagers. He treated them with utmost respect and made them an integral part of the training process. Mikal understood that effective training involves the entire family, and he skillfully engaged each family member, including the kids, in the training sessions. This not only strengthened the bond between our family and Dakota, but it also empowered our teenagers and entire family to be involved in training. One aspect of Mikal's expertise that stood out was his deep understanding of dog body language. Throughout the training sessions, he keenly observed Dakota's movements, gestures, and expressions, enabling him to accurately interpret her behavior. He then helped us to understand her better and taught us what to look for. Mikal's ability to recognize subtle cues and signals allowed him to tailor the training methods to Dakota's specific needs, ensuring a positive and effective training experience. Thanks to Mikal's guidance, Dakota has made remarkable progress in her training. She went from a shy, timid, and unruly puppy to a confident and respectful dog in a very short time. From basic obedience commands to addressing specific behavioral challenges, Mikal provided us with the tools and knowledge necessary to help Dakota thrive. His positive reinforcement techniques and focus on building a strong bond between us and Dakota have made all the difference in her behavior and overall happiness! We are thrilled with progress so far and excited to keep building on it through the group classes!

Mikal at Tip Top K9 has been great. I am so thankful he walked into my vet office to introduced himself. I have been in the veterinary field for over 20 years and have previously done the training on all of my dogs with positive treat training and clicker training however my current little monster was not responding to that and I needed help. Mikal has been great in our one on one lessons after evaluating my Frenchie and discussing his method and approach on how to get things on track. It has been wonderful seeing my puppy progress and I am excited to continue the training in the group classes as he has already come so far with just the six private lessons we have done. Mikal is calm and patient In his approach with giving clear consistent direction and I couldn’t be happier with Colts progress.
