Timeless K9 Boarding And Training

Jamaal & Morcelo did wonders for my dog. He was very leash reactive with other dogs and some people even in our neighborhood. And with a newborn baby we could not have that in the house. The same dog we left them with personality wise when we received him but a true listener and I could not ask for a better group to train him. Great experience all around and I recommend them to anyone needing a K9 trained. 5 stars all-around!

Jamal is hands down the best dog trainer ever! I’ve been to 4 different trainers and I can honestly say none of them compare to Timeless K9. Jamal goes above and beyond to ensure you get the results you want for your dog! I’ve been working with Jamal for awhile now and not only is he super fun to train with, he’s extremely knowledgeable and tailors his methods based on your dogs needs. I was on the fence of going with Timeless K9 after spending thousands with other trainers, but I can confidently say that every penny is worth spending on Timeless K9. My dog’s recall was terrible but Jamal transformed my dog completely. I can confidently recall my dog anywhere and have him off leash walking. I often get compliments on my dogs behavior and ALWAYS tell everyone and anyone about Timeless K9. Jamal is super patient and goes above and beyond for all of his clients. He not only trains your dog but equips owners with the tools necessary to communicate properly with your pet! If you need a dog trainer, you NEED to chat with Jamal, he won’t disappoint!

I am writing this post 2 months with my dog back from almost 3 weeks of board and train we did back in October. I never expected my dog (4 year old German Shepard/blue heeler mix) to be perfect when I got him back from boarding and training but honestly it just seems like he never went to a board and train program. Xolo has never bitten anyone, I was seeking professional help when I was noticing some aggressive/reactive behavior from Xolo and wanted to find help before it got any worse. I am embarrassed to take him on walks and out in public but I’ve been pushing through it everyday to work with him because that’s the only way I can help him. I’m even more embarrassed at the money I spent (about $4000) for him to go to this board and training and for the results I’ve received. I agreed to do the board and train program because Jamaal recommended it instead of sessions especially if I wanted to see results quicker. If I could go back in time I would never have agreed to the board and train program. I would’ve just done the sessions. At least with the sessions I would circle back every week with a trainer but with the board and train I had no idea what my dog Xolo was going through. I had very little communication even up to the day I was supposed to pick him up. We initially agreed to 2 weeks of board and train until Jamaal suggested another week to “lock in” the skills he’s learned. We agreed to an extra 5 days. I honestly do not believe if we agreed to do a 4 week board and train vs a 3 week board and train, Xolo would be any different than he is now. When we got him back I got 2 transfer sessions, one at the training center and one in my neighborhood. I love my dog and I did this program so he could have a better quality of life but I probably won’t see those results anytime soon or maybe ever. I still continue to work with him everyday because I always knew since the beginning, training is a lifetime. I do not believe he came back more confident. Jamaal asked to message him a list of things I want him him to work on with my dog. I asked for recall, dog/people reactivity, and confidence. I didn’t get improvement from most of these things. His recall/ leash skills are about the same as before we sent him to school (minus the fact we no longer have to give him treats and he works with a slip lead instead of a harness) and his reactivity with dogs is about the same as before we sent him. I don’t see the confidence in him when we are in public. The biggest improvement was how he reacted with people and other animals. Almost no reaction. Is there improvement? Yes. Do I think Jamaal is a great trainer? Yes. However I do not believe the board and train was beneficial to him and he would’ve done better with sessions. For the amount of money I spent I was expecting more improvement and definitely better communication. I never needed Jamaal to send me an update of every moment of the day or even everyday. I had zero concern when I left him and had full confidence in his safety there with the timeless team. But at least some communication about how his progress is going would’ve been nice? It was almost 3 weeks and like I said earlier I don’t know a lot regarding his training and I am still to this day just taking it one day at a time and I feel as though I am mostly teaching myself with training him. His skills definitely didn’t transfer or “lock in” once we got him back. Update 04/26: I will give high praise and a huge compliment to Jamaal for taking accountability regarding communication and trying to make amends. Not a lot of people would do that. My dog Xolo still needs more confidence and we still have some bad days. Unfortunately for me my dog is always on his best behavior around Jamaal. I at least have the tools to help me train Xolo for the rest of his life. Jamaal is a great trainer and has knowledge a lot of us don’t have. I am having a lot more good days than bad with Xolo. I would recommend Jamaal to other people and would return to Jamaal with any other dogs I may own in the future.

Timeless K9 is 10/10. They really work with you to meet your dogs needs and break it down so it is doable. While the training sessions are designed for your dogs behaviors, get ready to challenge your own behaviors and how you respond! The no treat approach really creates a strong bond over time. Timeless K9 worked with me and my boxer puppy who would not let you pet his paws, high prey drive, and reactive. Through Timeless K9’s work we have a cool, calm and confident dog. We've had a great experience with Timeless K9, Jamal, and his team. Our dog stayed there for a board after having some continual behavioral issues and reactivity. When we got her back, she was calm around other dogs on walks and stopped resource-guarding food. What's great is she still has her full, lovable personality and enjoys life much more, as she no longer stresses out about other dogs on walks and feels much more comfortable at home. We'd fully recommend Timeless K9.
