Thoughtful Dogs

We learned, through our work with Adam, that dog behavior isn't something that the novice understands. He helped us see what was going on between our two dogs and gave us very good direction in how to work with them. I would never enter into the ownership of a new dog (from reputable breeder or rescue) without using the services of a behaviorist/trainer (as long as Adam is available, we'll use him!). The lives we live with our 4-legged children is going to, hopefully, be long. The investment we make (in work we do and financial output) is SO worth it. Pet parents and their pets will have the best preparation for success and happiness. Without reservation, I recommend Thoughtful Dogs!

Adam is first class. Aging depth of knowledge in do training. He has been our "go to guy" for training two dogs to date. With his help and skills together we found an ideal dog for our family. He was familiar with our candidate for adoption at Heritage Humaine Shelter in Williamsburg. It's proven to be a successful and happy adoption for the dog and our family. Adam evaluated and advised us all along the way, starting with the training and loss of our previous dog, selection, adoption and training of our new dog. One word..Excellent!

Our vets office recommended Adam when our 6 year old retriever attacked our new puppy. After our first session, Adam recommended that we re-home the puppy. At the time I thought his report was harsh, but I know he just couldn’t bear the thought of the puppy being hurt again. He then taught us how to work with them to build their relationship. After our second session, we were doing so well that he suggested stepping out to let us pursue obedience classes. He encouraged us to stay in touch and to reach out if we needed him. We followed everything he told us to do and our dogs are well on their way to becoming friends after just a few weeks. Adam is amazing with dogs. You can absolutely see the love he has for them. I’m so thankful to him for getting us on track to cautiously build trust and mend our relationship with our dogs.
