We cannot say enough amazing things about Lauren at Third Coast Canine Academy! From the very beginning—starting with puppy preschool for our Irish Setter, Phoenix—Lauren has been an incredible resource, mentor, and trainer. Now that Phoenix is over a year old, we’ve completed 18 one-on-one sessions along with a 2-week stay and train, and the transformation has been incredible. We just completed the 6 session basic obedience class with our 1 1/2 year old Golden Retriever. Lauren did an excellent job of properly training and reinforcing basic obedience skills with us. Dogs are much quicker to learn the skills than we are as owners and Lauren was patient with us in teaching us the correct way. We have seen great improvement in our dog’s obedience skills as she walks calmly on her lease, sits and stays on command, knows what “no” means, and coming on command. We know that the 6 weeks of training is just the start of what needs to be regular consistent reinforcement of the skills we all learned. Lauren is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and clearly passionate about her work with dogs. We worked with Lauren in the past as she supported us tremendously with our Blue Heeler that had behavioral problems. We just recently got an Australian Shepherd puppy and took him to meet with Lauren and are really excited to continue to meet with her for Basic Obedience as he grows up. Lauren’s style of training is supportive and engaging and we’ve learned so much from her! I would recommend anyone with a dog to see Lauren at Third Coast Canine Academy!
