Originally had 5-star rating but changing my review. I knew Jennifer (the owner) for almost 4 years and had a great relationship. She was my dogs trainer when he was a puppy. Then didn’t see her for 2-3 years until I started utilizing her dog walking/play&train services. She abruptly said she is stopping her walking business and stated she would refund money back for those who have bought packaged walks. She refunded me a very small amount randomly on paypal (that I never use) so she never even checked in on how we want refunds. Paypal also has a fee so I am incurring that on my end. Additionally, i had recently bought a play+train package and a walking package before I knew she was going to halt her business and have receipts that I have a good number of sessions left. I reached out to her asking for a breakdown of my refund and she has been ignoring me eversince. I texted her and it shows “read” for all messages and in the past she has always replied back to me. I am not only disappointed in the lack of communication, but how she has destroyed nearly 4 years of a good working relationship where I have also referred friends over to her. She basically ghosted me so she doesn’t have to give me a refund. Would reconsider utilizing her services as she runs her business in this manner especially someone she has known/worked with for years.

Came across The Treat Training on a simple google search, but I couldn’t have been more fortunate to have found them! Jennifer and her team are absolutely fantastic! They’ve done wonders for my rescue dog (he was quirky with his social skills, and a pittie mix which made it very hard to take him to dog parks without someone commenting on his rough edges)! Jennifer’s “play and train” program immediately changed all that in one, single session! Her whole team is the exact support I was looking for, but I got way more support, positive training experience and fun experience than I had hoped for!!!! Absolutely love this team! HIGHLY RECOMMEND them no matter where you are in your journey with your dog!

I am SO glad we found Jennifer. We first met her when we got our puppy and did some basic puppy training and playdates. But then, when our dog hit 1, he became an absolute anxious mess and that was when I really realized how valuable Jennifer was. She met with us, we made a plan, and we have been working with her ever since. Our dog wouldn't go on walks, wouldn't even go outside if there was a hint of noise- a big truck driving by would send him running inside. He couldn't be around other dogs or any person he didn't know without growling or barking. Jennifer has been so committed to helping him. She sets realistic expectations and trains us in dog training as much as she trains him. She has been working with another trainer to build up his tolerance to strangers, and has slowly but steadily been building his leash tolerance. Last weekend, we were able to take him on a leash walk with the entire family for the first time in months. It was amazing. She loves our pup like he's her own. She is relentlessly energetic and optimistic, and one of his favorite people.

I can’t say enough about Jennifer!!! She has helped us so much. Our pup still has some basic commands to learn and also has some growth areas and she has been amazing helping us with all of that and everything in between. She meets you where you are and devises a plan with your input to help you get where you want to go. She is also most willing to change the plan as needed to address any more pressing training issues that come up. She teaches you the “why” behind all of the methods she uses. She can accomplish an amazing amount in a 30 minute session. She goes above and beyond in being available to help with anything that helps you and your pup. I could continue to list positives all day long. We are so grateful for her!
