The Trusted Companion

Brant gave me the tools I needed to develop my wild and crazy lab puppy into a focused, confident, and obedient companion. During our training sessions, I was always impressed by his ability to immediately identify the best method for teaching my pup a particular skill. He expertly integrated play with obedience training and was never afraid to roll around, wrestle, and get silly with my pup. Best of all, he took the time to ensure that I had a good understanding of his approach so that I could successfully continue our training at home. When we adopted Lena from the SPCA, she had been adopted and returned three times previously, and we knew that we would need some serious help with her because of her high energy and drive. Working with Brant was incredible in so many ways. His communication is excellent, and his people training skills are on par with his dog training- he gives excellent explanations of the psychology behind his techniques. We loved the daily videos and learned so much from them, and the turnover training was super informative and empowering. And the best part- our dog is so much calmer and happier. Dec 27, 2021 Hello Brant, Please accept this as our testimonial on your three week board and train program. If we had to use a one-word recap it would be Wow! Bogey was a great dog when we left him with you, but not a well-disciplined / trained dog. He not only came back to us well trained and disciplined, but also happy and well adjusted. He knew commands like come, sit and down before your program, but only did them when he felt like it and certainly not without treats. He now comes to all commands without treats and consistently. We can now allow him to get some great off leash runs, without fear of him running away. The fact that he now stops before exiting any exterior doorway is also amazing... there is so much more. For anyone considering your board and train, the program is certainly worth the investment! At the same time they should be prepared for a couple of things: - you are likely to miss your dog - a lot! - the daily videos are fantastic and will give you a sense of progress and start to engage you in the training you will need to follow-up on - there is a lot of follow-up training required by the dog parents in order to transfer the training commands from Brant to you, especially the first two weeks following the dog's return.
