Megan is a fantastic dog trainer. She worked with us to teach our puppy the basics like sit and stay, as well as to walk politely on a leash, greet visitors without jumping, and relax in very stimulating environments. She helped us understand how to slow him down and encourage him to focus on us instead of everything around him. Megan was always professional and valued our time. She gave us lots of advice on how to keep the puppy busy and tired and followed up after each session with written and video tips for continuing training. We (puppy and people) absolutely recommend The Stallar Dog!

Megan is great! We have seen such positive changes in our dog, Georgia. She is better behaved, listens better, and has learned to amuse herself in acceptable ways when we are not available. She comes when she is called and can be trusted off leash. She recognizes us, the humans, as being in charge. We rescued Georgia at the end of October and had a honeymoon period with her. She then started developing intense separation anxiety, began chewing items, jumping on people, didn't listen, cried in her crate, reacted to other dogs...you name it. I was frankly losing my patience with her, so an expert needed to be called! We've had dogs before, but Megan helped us realize all the little mistakes we were making in trying to train and how we were reinforcing the wrong things. Megan's love for dogs is obvious, and training was always positive and playful. Megan also incorporated our older dog to help Georgia, so it was a fun experience for both pups. We practiced training at home, the park, in our neighborhood, and out on the trails, giving my wife and I an understanding of how to be consistent across different settings. I no longer find myself getting frustrated with Georgia, she's received compliments on her behavior, and we are back to being a happy family. :)

Megan of Stellar Dogs doesn’t train dogs, she trains their people and she does it well! We knew early on that Riley was an intelligent dog, but she has a mind of her own and it was getting tougher on walks as well as at home when trying to have a conversation, cooking and worse, the constant chase of the cats; we finally accepted that we needed help. We found Megan and a few other trainers in our packet from the vet, Stellar Dog’s reviews won the day and now we know why. The first day of training netted immediate results and part of the problem was us, our behaviors, inconsistencies or reactions to her behavior. Every instruction was clearly explained, demonstrated then we were required to take action so Megan could correct tone or even the way we held the leash. Every lesson from the first to the last was effective and Riley loved it; she was all about the training! Besides the training, the next best thing, about Stellar Dog, no heavy sells pitch, I hate that and was waiting for it, but it didn't happen at the complimentary lesson or the last; thank you for that! If Riley falls back, it's because we aren’t following through or being consistent, because we’ve seen the results when we are. Thank you Megan.

I wish that I could give Megan 5 stars! Like many people who adopt a puppy with the best of intentions, we quickly found ourselves overwhelmed. We had owned a dogs before, and initially felt like we could just take the Pet Smart puppy classes and watch some YouTube videos to master the basics, and eventually the rest would fall in to place -- boy were we wrong! Finally, the biting, jumping, barking, food aggression, and impulsive behavior around my 2 small children, was more than we could handle, and we were desperate for a different approach. We had even resulted to using a muzzle. I'm so glad that we found The Stellar Dog! One of the best things about Megan, is that she works with you in the convenience of your own home, which was critical for teaching "Buddy" the house rules and helping our whole family practice the training exercises. Upon our first session, she assessed our immediate needs, and had and Exercise Pen and other tools in her vehicle, ready to utilize. We saw noticeable progress from the start and immediately began too see some light at the end of the tunnel. But as is the case with dog training, she in all actuality was not training our dog, but training us! She was incredibly patient and reassuring and always sent easy-to-follow follow up materials via emails that we could practice for the next session, and it was always wonderful to be able to reach out to her with a question or concern. I was initially worried that all dog trainers were like the stiff and serious, Caesar Milan, but that is not the case with Megan. She is a delight, and we actually really enjoyed the sessions as a family, and our pup was always WORN OUT by the end. Also, she brings a sense of "zen" to the whole process. One important thing I learned is the dog will key off of your moods and energy. When she left each session, it was like a sense of peace had descended upon our house. I really cannot say enough good things about Megan, and I no longer thing "oh my god, what were we thinking?!" I only wish there were in-home consultants/trainers to help you raise kids!! Do not hesitate to call Megan, you're only regret will be that you didn't do it sooner!
