The Steadfast Canine

One year ago our rescued pit/shepherd mix, Newton, started to show signs of fear aggression @ ~18 months of age and was fearful of new people, kids, other dogs and almost any new situation. Several local trainers wouldn't work with dogs showing signs of aggression and referred us to a local southern CA company that would be able to help. Eric was the main trainer that worked with Newton during his 5 week stay for behavioral modification. Eric also worked with my husband and I towards the end of Newton's training to help us best understand how to continue Newton's progress after he transitioned home. Newton returned home with amazing obedience and we quickly learned that he is an extreme love bug, and just needs our help setting boundaries in new situations. The work that Eric did with Newton in 5 weeks was instrumental, along with what he taught us so that we could continue Newton's training. Today Newton is greeting strangers with licks on their hands, can be offleash around other dogs, is a strong swimmer (used to be terrified of water before Eric taught him to swim) and is excelling at agility training. We were saddened to hear that Eric relocated back to the midwest, but we are so excited to see him opening his own business in Illinois. We have reached out to family and friends in southern WI to let them know they have an amazing trainer nearby!
