The Spot 4 Dogs Scenic City

Jake trained our goldendoodle, Luna, when she was around 5 months old. She went from not listening at ALL and not manageable on a leash and running off every chance she could get, to being a dog I can trust. She hikes with us off leash and her recall is amazing! She can go from being her goofball, hyperactive self to being obedient and in heal with just one command. After a year, we got an Aussiedoodle puppy and Luna started showing some strange protective behaviors. When we took Murphy in for training at four months old, we told Jake about these behaviors and he took Luna back through the program alongside Murphy at no extra charge to us. He did not have to do this. He did it because he is kind and stands by his work. Now we have two awesome fur babies that bring me so much joy and I don’t have to stress about them misbehaving. I am so thankful for Jake and the whole Spot 4 Dogs crew and I recommend this business to everyone!!!

I brought my puppy to the Karns location for the 2-week obedience training (5-6 month old). As he was still young, I decided to drop off every day instead of boarding because we were also making sure he would be able to continue to bond with me. It’s been almost two years and I can say that what people praise the most about our dog is how well behaved, well trained and “emotionally stable” he is. Our dog is reliable, picks up quickly on commands and tasks, he is the perfect dog. We continued daily training at home and at this point he does not need to use the collar anymore. He could absolutely do off leash without the collar although we don’t do this mostly for safety reasons. Foundations are solid and we transitioned to positive reinforcement. I can’t praise enough the Spot 4 Dogs, for all of their help and for their professionalism.

Wanted to thank Jake and The Spot for Dogs for the excellent trading that our Australian Shepard received this pat year. She is very well behaved in public, responds well to commands with or without her training e-collar. We have had many comments how well behaved she is in public. She travels to many craft shows with us. Rue also traveled with us to Williamsburg, Virginia in May for the week, she loves to ride in the truck. Many thanks to Jake on his training of Rue.
